The snow has been pretty thoroughly run through, save in the spots too out of the way to merit playing in, even by the more rambunctious children. Eventually even that will be gone when spring comes, and the snow becomes nothing more than a memory. Looking at it reminds me that nothing beautiful can remain that way--that even the most pristine of things will be sullied and one day fade away into nothing.

Jokes aside, I had a pot of tea boiled up just now. Meru, if you'd like to stop by and share a cup with me, I would be delighted. In fact, I'm in a generous mood, so if anyone would like a hot drink, feel free to pay me a visit.
