I feel like I can finally write about this, despite it still being so hard to believe. The king being dead, his funeral...I don't want to accept it. He was always so kind to me whenever Father would take us to court, and never minded the fact that I was shy.
And now this, the fact that there has been no heir named. Father is being quite vocal in his support of Prince Jephry, stating that he is the only one who is suited to running the country, the only one who has the best interests of the nobles at heart. I suppose he is right, though it's really not my place to be involved. A woman's place is not in the world of politics.
