What a strange and very sad life we all lead.

It seems my last sister has been found dead this morning.

So it's all finally mine.

How interesting that the East Narborough Trading Company has fell its way into my hands. I'm not quite sure if I can handle this pressure.

Vincent, I would like you to accompany me to the funeral.

My, what an unhappy incident. And once again, you're wracked with grief, milady.

I do hope you've taken precautions against assassins, milady. If foul play is involved, you could be next. And, on that note, I would like you to know that not for a moment do I believe the rumors that you had anything to do with the murders of your sisters. Shocking and outrageous, I say.

Indeed, that is true. It is probably best I protect myself. I have thought of hiring a guard by the name of Vin--

Rumors indeed. Probably passed by some bored fishmonger's wife. Where have you heard this, Sir Curtis? Perhaps it is possible for me to track down a culprit...

Why, here and there, milady. I'm afraid couldn't tell you specifically where; it seems sometimes as if it follows me--or perhaps "lies in wait for me" is a better metaphor. But certainly a young lady as caring and gentle as yourself would never conspire on the deaths of her own family. Why, I'm sure you're quite eager to see a culprit properly punished for these heinous crimes.
