I am extremely interested in a commission!! I actually was just thinking the other day, "Man, I have this art idea, and I so wish I could get someone to do it..." I have art friends, but they're always busy. ^^;; So this is well-timed! Let me get a price quote first, though.

What I have in mind is two characters. I don't need a background, but the poses are somewhat complicated, so I'd like separate quotes for colored vs. line-art, please--I'm on a budget, and I can go a little over it for a friend, but not a lot.

These characters--I'll refer to them by name (Daisuke, my friend's OC, and Nagisa, my own OC)--would be sitting together. Daisuke is plopped down on his backside with the most sour, disgusted, irritated exprssion you can possibly imagine, and Nagisa is kneeling next to him with her arms wrapped around his neck and shoulders in a loving hug as she leans her head against his, beaming affectionately and going <3. Despite Daisuke's obvious displeasure with this situation, he is not actually bothering to do anything to dissuade Nagisa. I can give you reference pics, as both of us have gotten or are getting other commishes, as well as text descriptions, but as of right now, about how much would you charge for a pair of characters in a pose like that?

ALSO, I have a bunch of friends who are always looking for commissions--would you like me to link this post to them? Also, what are your price ranges in general, so I can let them know?

alksjfd Sorry for the delay in response, I've been very very hurr durr these past few days.

ALSO. Hmmm, that does sound like a bit of an awkward position, but I think I can try my shot at it! And let's see - for line-art, I'd say... hm. $15 tops? Coloured it could probably hit about $30, at least if I'm doing a full blown CG colouring. I'd probably do a quick sketch of what I think you're aiming for in terms of the pose to double check that's what you want before I really start at it, too. And yes, I'd love to have reference pictures - makes it so much easier.

And alksdjf sure! ♥ That'd be great, actually. And hm, that really depends on what I'm drawing, how many characters/details/etc, and if it's cg/lineart/sketch/markers/etc. I'd say on average, it'd be about $3-$5 for a simple sketch, $6-$10 for basic lineart, $15-$20 for a detailed marker colouring, and $20-$30 for CG. Prices would be more if it was more characters or more complex, etc. Just really depends on how long I'd think it'd take me and how much I think would be fair? Idfk ;;

That is okay. Sorry I didn't respond earlier, but it was one of my BFF's birthday yesterday and I was out for pretty much the entire day.

A quick sketch probably sounds like it'd be a good idea--it'd potentially save us both a lot of frustration in the long run. There are a few arts of Daisuke:

I think I'm going to get the line-art, but just in case I change my mind, his eyes are brown and his hair he's constantly dying from one color to the next (he does it roughly once monthly), but as of this comment his hair color is magenta with scarlet bangs. His height is 5'6", so he's actually a bit on the short side for a Japanese guy, but since Nagisa is even tinier at 4'9" (the shortest possible height one can be for an adult female without being a dwarf), it works out. His text desc is as follows:

A slender young man, Daisuke Itami stands at about the middle ground between 5'6" and 5'7". His posture is typically relaxed -- almost easy-going, even, as if all the world's troubles simply do not exist. His hair is long and unruly; it seems almost as if Daisuke is completely unconcerned in its upkeep, and its bangs fall haphazardly over his face; it is, however, cut shorter in the back, coming to an end at roughly the beginnings of the slope of his neck. This long, unkempt hair is currently dyed a shade of magenta, while the tips of his hair are hued a distinct crimson. His eyes are brown in color, and his lips are almost always pulled into a smile.
Currently, Daisuke wears a somewhat odd selection of clothes. A long-sleeved, white shirt fits loosely over his torso, covered at least partially by a deep crimson, double-buttoned vest, with a pocket at the left breast. The vest would almost seem formal if it weren't for the fact that the collar of it is lined with white fur. Over all this, Daisuke wears a simple, charcoal gray jacket, pockets at the left breast and interior. His legs are covered by a pair of black slacks, and a simple pair of gray-white sneakers that look well-used complete the strange set of clothes.

Alas, these are my only arts thus far of Nagisa; a friend of mine owed me some so she's working on it, and this is the partway result. She has pale blue eyes and cornsilk-blond hair, and that outermost later actually should be closed rather than open in the front. Her text desc is as follows:

Before you is what by every appearance seems to be a girl somewhere between thirteen and fourteen, who stands at 4'9", almost always smiles serenely, and has pale, wheat blonde hair and marine blue eyes. Not only that, she looks so thin that a stiff breeze might knock her over. There *is* a bit of meat to her--it seems she's grown a bit, perhaps--but it's difficult to really see over the layers of clothes she wears: a heavy sweatshirt and sweater up top, and a pleated schoolgirl's skirt that reaches halfway down her thighs on bottom. They are mismatched and look worn and frayed, as if they're hand-me-downs. Her old-looking sneakers seem almost too big for her, and perhaps they are, considering she's wearing several layers of socks.
