Researchers in Sweden have discovered that viewing and discussing art can ease constipation. While that may not be news to regular museumgoers the Local, a Swedish news organization, picked up a French wire service story reporting that a test group of 20 elderly women who met once a week for four months to talk about art required fewer laxatives than a control group that met to chat about their hobbies and interests. Other benefits of an art-filled life included lower blood-pressure and a more positive attitude.
