I think that visiting the ocean is the closest thing I've ever had to a religious experience. It's very...everything. Also, my family (and extended family) amuse me, though Brian and Karen's lot aren't nearly as disciplined as we are. If I knew how, I might post pictures. Probably not, though.
Sometime while I was on vacation, I got a text message from a number that I didn't recognize. It only said "Hello," so I called the number in the hopes that it would belong to someone I recognized, and that the conversation would therefore not be horribly awkward. No such luck, and the girl who picked up at the other end was as confused as I was (possibly more; at least I had some idea what was going on). She did seem amused by my explanation, though, so I count it as worth doing.
I went to the last day of the library book sale today (alas, we missed the first two) and, well, got some books. I also saw someone who I thought looked familiar (I try to pay attention to people who look like they recognize me, especially if I don't recognize them). I know who the person is, but I can't place the name. Very frustrating. And that leads, indirectly, to something else: do any of the rest of you suddenly become very interested in people you barely know? I find more and more that very small things make me curious about the kind of person behind them, but unfortunately it's a curiosity that rarely comes to anything.
That's all for now; I have feedback to provide.
