OOC | Opt-out

Jul 15, 2011 20:38

I wanted to offer this "opt-out" option to players at onepassingnight, because B is a difficult character to deal with even under the best of circumstances, and in the case of this game, even more so.

This B is a dead B. As such, he is a full-time resident of the Dreaming, and his subconscious? Yeah, it's not a nice place to be. :| B committed a series of rather gruesome murders while he was alive, and he harbors a lot of pent-up resentment, anger, hatred, and other assorted negative emotions carried over from his life. This is bound to come up over and over again (though not necessarily EVERY time) in-game, but I definitely don't wish to impose this on any unwilling parties.

So this is where the opt-out post comes in! All comments are screened, so don't worry about being judged or anything. c: And I will absolutely never take personal offense to an opt-out request! I'm offering this option because I recognize the difficulties of dealing with this character, and because I want to provide a safe, comfortable, and fun environment with respect to my involvement with this game.

I will always warn for triggers like gore, disturbing imagery, etc. in B's posts (because let's be honest, it will probably happen at some point), but as far as commenting in other posts, please tell me if you would like B to leave your character/s alone. B's actions in-game will likely vary between mysterious, intentionally difficult (he's a lying liar who lies and enjoys provoking a reaction from people), silly, creepy, disturbed, etc. If you would like to bypass any/all of this, please let me know! I will not tag in with anything violent or gory unless given express permission; on the flip side, if this is something you'd enjoy from my character, please let me know this is OK! I will always respect players' decisions, and I will always respect any mind-changing that might occur.

Please feel free to also contact me via AIM at last laugh blues or via LJ Message with any concerns, questions, or queries at any time. c:
