But seriously. Jerry Falwell has said that the 9/11 attacks were the fault of "gays, atheists, civil rights activists, and legal abortions," because God was punishing them (by supporting terrorism, I s'pose).

And our President, among other Republican leaders (who were elected with the Reverend's help) are mourning this man "of great faith and devotion to our country."
