Dean is quite sure the universe has it out for him. Newly single and more than a little bitter, the last thing he needs is to be grounded at the airport due to a snowstorm. But then he meets Castiel, and the worst Valentine’s Day ever becomes a little more bearable.
A bit of post Valentine's cheer for you. The build of Dean and Cas's friendship is wonderfully done with a hint of even more happiness to come in their future. It takes place over a single Valentine's Day, but it feels like a slow build anyway.

Kindergarten AU in which Dean is determined to make his friend Castiel a valentine, and John very gently tries to persuade him not to because little boys don't give other little boys Valentine's Day cards.
There are no words for my love of this fic. It's short and sweet and so cute. You ache for Dean and a little for John. In fact, I love how John's portrayed here - he's not perfect, but he realizes his mistake and does his best to be a good dad and put Dean's happiness first.
The Best Valentine’s Day Ever

Dean wants to buy something special for someone special for Valentine’s Day. First he needs to figure out what to buy, where to get the money and which special classmate to give it to.
One last bit of Valentine's cuteness to round out our thematic G to R post. The banter is fun and sweet. Dean and Sam's relationship is awesome. And of course Cas is the cutest thing ever.
