For six months Dean has thought Castiel was killed by the Leviathan, but a little girl with an artistic bent insists Castiel is alive and can be saved. Dean doesn't know how to save someone without a monster to fight, but Castiel is in need of rescue nonetheless.
This story is just so sweet. My heart ached for all of Team Free Will, but especially for Dean, fumbling his way around, worrying about his brother, missing his friend, and ultimately figuring out just how much Cas means to him. And Castiel's depression and guilt pretty much broke my heart. This will have you smiling and angsty all at once.
