Summary: Hakuba hires a profiler to examine major DC characters.
Squeeing: This is a series of utterly fascinating fics that delve into the characters from an outsider's pov. What really makes this work is how well the profiler is handled; he's often right, but where he's not, it's like being in on an in-joke. There's something really straight-forward about the narrator's perceptions, and a couple of them are plain striking (particularly in Kaitou Kid's and Conan's). The writer is also working on a "sequel" to these fics, but I've yet to find them archived anywhere.
Excerpt: Hakuba- a word of warning. DO NOT CORNER THIS GUY, not if you want a live body to prosecute. Non-violence seems to be pretty much a cornerstone of the Kid's philosophy, but some of those stunts... He's likely to risk anything to escape. There's a desperation there that is not going to take being arrested without doing everything he can to finish his goal. You can run him down, or catch him by surprise, but do not back him into a corner. He'll jump off a building rather than offer his wrists for the cuffs.
