Title: A Prayer To Saint Michael The Archangel
Author: meyerlemon
Characters: Lincoln Burrows, Michael Scofield, Reverend Mailor
Prompt: 40. Confession
Rating: G
Length: Medium
Brief summary: I have always been a sucker for the religious imagery of Prison Break and this one works perfectly. Last thoughts before the execution, a childhood story or two, all in all, a great introspective piece.

Protestants don't get it, Lincoln feels. They've been promised salvation, no strings attached, all you have to do is accept Jesus Christ and maybe attend a few televised tapings of worship services, and that's it, your soul is saved, and your spot in Heaven is reserved.

But Lincoln was raised Catholic, and things are not that easy for him. He believes that faith must be paired with good works for salvation to occur. And he's short on good works, no matter how he counts and recounts the few good things he's done in his life. He made LJ, that was the best thing he ever did, and he loved his brother, and he loved Veronica, and he didn't kill that man, even though he was supposed to. But that may be it.

Title: Four
Author: aspensnow
Characters: Lincoln Burrows, Veronica Donovan, Michael Scofield, LJ Burrows
Prompt: 45. Trapped
Rating: PG13
Length: Short
Brief summary: Three people come to visit Lincoln in jail. Aspensnow’s writing style is fascinating to me, almost ethereal, poetic, with a unique flow. Here she creates a fantastic claustrophobic and helpless mood in a story about people trying to connect.

Her voice is nothing but artificial static in his ear. She sits so close he can see the change in her face; he imagines the razor sharp angles would slice him open if he touched her. There are no tears in her eyes. There is no sheen of sadness, no damp hope.
