At SeaAuthor: Tigerlady, aka
docmichelleCharacters: John Sheppard, Rodney McKay.
Prompt: 6. Anger.
Rating: PG-13.
Length: medium (1,099 words)
Brief summary: Post-episode tag for "Trinity." This is exactly what I think was really going on in John's head, what all those trust issues finally boil down to.
"Christ, Rodney. I knew--I knew!--you were in over your head, and you just wouldn't admit it to yourself!"
"Well, I guess I'm just an idiot, then," Rodney said through gritted teeth.
John blew out a breath, trying to get the words out, trying to keep them in, trying to figure out what the fuck was wrong with him.
"I knew you were in over your head," he said, the words barely audible through the tightness of his throat, "but you wanted it so badly. And I couldn't say no, Rodney."

Title:
Six Impossible Things Before BreakfastAuthor: Rokeon, aka
anthropomorficCharacters: John Sheppard.
Prompt: 28. Dream.
Rating: PG.
Length: medium (1,197 words)
Brief summary: Five dreams John Sheppard never had about Atlantisplus one someone else didn't, either. They range in mood and setting, there's even an injection of sly humor in the middle, poking fun at everyone, but on the whole they're uneasy and unsettling. The last one's a gut-punch.
He knows it's not real. He knows it's not real because they told him it wouldn't be, told him the Old Ones would test his merit while he slept. He traded Cthulhu jokes with McKay while they tried to activate the Ancient whatever-it-was, eventually gave up and conceded that they weren't going to get any closer to making the thing work while they were still conscious. He's pretty sure that's when reality stopped happening.
