Alouette Mountain
An old friend of mine's on a 3 week vacation to BC and convinced me to go on a hike with him.
An almost 1400m peak, starts pretty much at sea level, 10km hike either way. There was snow for ~3/4s of the climb and lots of vertical near the end. I'm surprised that I didn't do badly, especially since I was totally unprepared; old, worn-out sneakers, baggy cargo pants, and haven't gone on a real hike since college. The only ill effects are that my knee ligaments hurt like hell today.
