Well what can I say but it has been an up and down kind of couple of weeks for me. As glad as I am to hear that you survived the barage of work, I suppose I'm just as sad at the opposite side of the spectrum when I hear of your loss. Where I could list examples of my perspective on loss of loved animals, I think in such situations empathy only seem like goodwill gestures. Nothing I could say or do would magically make the situation better, but I suppose it's something that is unattainable anyways. I suppose that the memories of Honeybear will stay with you and remind you of the time shared, as well as the fragility of your own mortality.

Furthermore, I too had the pleasure of viewing "300". Being skeptical (but never biased) going into the movie, I can honestly say that I wasn't pleasently suprised that I thought it was an amazing film. I see what you mean about the whole "guy film" thing, and agree that it could be enjoyable by not only guys, but gals alike. Who knows, MAYBE even hermaphrodites. A great film nonetheless. I especially liked the scene where they had just slaughtered some of the Persians (I believe it was them, anyways)and as King Leonidas eats an apple, asks "Why can't wse be civil", as you see some of the Spartains finishing off the wounded in the periphery.

We'll have to get together soon and view a film that's been long past due. Let me know, okey dokey?
