Mismatched eyes widened slightly at the amount of food Tsuna was piling on. Now Mukuro was hungry, having not eaten all day, but the more that the brunette put on his plate, the more he wondered if he would finish everything. If the PR didn't know better, he would have thought Tsuna was acting like a parent or spouse, making sure he ate enough. Mukuro wasn't sure what to make of that thought but what he did know was that if he didn't stop Tsuna, then he really wouldn't be able to finish it.

"Tsuna, I think that's more than enough for now," he said, hoping to stop the younger man. Then he pointed out, in an attempt to divert from himself, "You should be eating too."

Tsuna was just about to pile on the sashimi when he heard the edge in Mukuro's tone. His chopsticks caught in mid-flight reversed back to his own territory and touched down awkwardly, crisscrossed and embarrassed, like himself.

"I am... but you're the guest!" Tsuna explained.

"That may be so, but you don't have to wait hand and foot for me," Mukuro mused, a wry smile forming. He appreciated what Tsuna was doing, really he did, but he figured he could feed himself. But he didn't like that the happy air around the other was dissipating, so instead he started to pile a few things onto Tsuna's own plate. "If you insist though, I'll just have to do the same for you."

Tsuna decided that Mukuro had to be seeking revenge but he wasn't going to sit there while someone piled food on his plate. Standing, he counter-attacked.

...

Till they both had a mountain of food and there was nothing to use as ammunition. Tsuna grinned.

Well.

This was better. Seeing a more cheerful Tsuna was better, helping to make the air more livelier and relaxed. Mukuro returned the grin.

"It'd probably be best if we actually started to eat the food, hm?" He said, an edge of teasing in his voice. Starting into the food once more, there was a companionable silence until Mukuro felt that there was need to break it. After all, it had been a while since he last talked to Tsuna and he was curious of what the brunette had been up to until now.

"So, how have you been?"

After a second ittadakimasu Tsuna finally got down to devouring his cooking. It wasn't so bad, could be better though. The brunette hoped that Mukuro couldn't tell the difference but in his defense, the soup was excellent.

"As good as..." Tsuna started with his mouth full, only to realise that that was a major no-no in Etiquette 101 and quickly slammed his jaws together. Chewing quickly, he swallowed with a gulp of soup (burning his throat) to reply Mukuro properly. "As good as can be," he beamed like the sun.

"Is that right," Mukuro murmured around the tips of his chopsticks. He wondered for a brief moment about the statement, but brushed aside any more thoughts when he saw Tsuna smile brightly. If there had been anything troubling the younger man, he would have been able to sense the lie hidden among the truth. The brunette wasn't the best liar and it'd be a while before the other was able to fool him. Maybe.

"Everything going smoothly on your end then?"

"Well..." Tsuna mumbled, pulling the chopstick out of his mouth and setting it down, nearly knocking over his soup as he tried to recall the week gone by.

"I got Hibari-san to take a break!" In his opinion, that was an achievement, not that the other would agree. He continued to ramble, counting them off his fingers like it was difficult to keep track (it was for a scatterbrain).

"Pesto was lost and found. I got to take some good pictures today and--" The brunette trailed off before smiling softly. He turned to the other slowly, leveling his gaze to say, "And you! I haven't seen you in a long while..."

Mukuro had known about the little "vacation" that Hibari had been forced to take, had visited him and shared a drink with the man and his brother not too long ago. However, that visit was cut short due to awkward conversations that went nowhere fast and the feeling that the brothers needed the space to talk about something. He left quickly after that was deduced.

But the last part made him freeze in place.

Sure they had spent the early evening together until now, but to hear it recalled as if one of the finer points of the brunette's week made him happy, oddly enough. It had become foreign, this feeling that Tsuna always managed to produce within him, but was now slowly being rekindled by the very cause. Whether it was a good thing or not, it was for the long run to decide. At the moment, he figured it was a nice thing.

"We've both been busy, no doubt," Mukuro said, voice reminiscent of the last several weeks or so. "I've had to adapt myself into a new position, so I had my hands full."

Mukuro works for the Millefiore now, Tsuna recalled with mixed feelings.

"Have you met Uni-san? She's-- nice," he quipped, unsure of what to say about the people and the strange-ness that was the Millefiore. He never understood the deal with their secrecy and it wasn't anytime soon that he would, not for a long while more.

It struck him then that Mukuro was now officially one of them. What if he became like them too? The brunette wondered if that would be a good thing or not. He liked people in general and whoever in the Millefiore who would give him the time of the day was a plus but Giglionero Uni was special. Like Mukuro. He couldn't stand to lose them, no.

He knows Ojou-sama?

Granted that it would be understandable for Tsuna to know who Giglionero Uni was, but there was a tiny hint of familiarity when the other said the woman's name. Not to mentioned the brunette addressed her as Uni-san rather than the more respectable Giglionero-san like Mukuro would have expected. It wasn't glaringly obvious, but it was safe to assume that Tsuna knew Uni somehow or another, much more than CEOs of rivaling companies probably should.

But Mukuro didn't concern himself with that. And he had no right to say anything against it. After all, wasn't he part of the company rivaling Vongola as well?

"I've met her on occasion. It's not often that I see her face-to-face, but we do chat a little through the network," he answered, trying to make it sound like it was no big deal. Something that could easily be brushed aside.

"Oh," he couldn't help the slight disappointment in just one word.Or should he be glad that Mukuro wasn't anything like them still, even after so long.

"Befriend her won't you?"

The request spilled from himself even before he could stop it. He shouldn't be this selfish to ask things from Mukuro but Uni... Giglionero Uni seemed so lonely.
