WARNING(s): ... *points at the WHO tag*
(
Hibarin and vacation do not mix. )
But brushing off all that aside now since the day was over for him, he arranged everything so that it would be easier in the morning with his sleep riddled mind. His PDA informed him of his meeting with Hibari once more and he quickened his pace a little bit. Just a little.
It hadn't taken him long to leave last minute instructions to some of his people and leave the Millefiore building, heading towards Hibari's place for that much needed drink. The PR recalled that the other's brother would possibly be there and the prospect of a little entertainment amused Mukuro. Though he faintly remembered that Xanxus wasn't entirely pleasant drunk...
Making sure all of his calls were forwarded to his other line to take care of later, he pulled out the key that Hibari had given him a while back and opened the door.
"Oya, you look like you're having the time of your life."

He's not supposed to SOUND tired, given the fact that he had not done anything for pretty much two days now, but he does, it only served to irritate him more. Hibari didn't bother to look at Mukuro as the other came in. He was starting to get somewhere, with this whole 'stare-at-the-ceiling-until-something-interesting-comes-to-mind' thing.

Sitting down in an available seat, Mukuro relaxed, having finally be able rid of a day's work.
"I'm surprised you're not working here. Unless you finished it all," he mused, glancing at Hibari from the corner of his eye.

No use hiding it. Mukuro was going to find some way to tease him either way. Saying the truth also opened up the possibility for finding something ELSE to do.
"Things must be busy over on your end."

A soft hum emitted from his throat as Mukuro sighed inwardly. He didn't want to think about the string of things he had to do for work. Not for the first time, he wondered just why he accepted the Head PR position in the first place. Though admittedly, part of the reason had been the pay...
"Hardly a dull moment, that's for sure," he said, a wry smile. "I take it this forced vacation was because you've been working too much?" Small talk was a little better than no talk.

Hibari reached out, feeling around for his cigarette pack. It appeared to be working. The ceiling was no looking just a bit more fascinating than it had a few minutes ago. One tiny step above Dull.
"I still don't understand what 'working too much' means."

These kinds of times were rare for them, just talking about mundane things. Their lives nearly a decade ago were much more active, fights almost every night and other activities even more so. The way they were now was rather dull, despite the positions they held at their respective companies. Just busy work.

Light up, inhale, exhale. This was pleasant, admittedly. He and Mukuro actually hadn't talked in the longest time, and something told Hibari that neither of them could deny the fact that conversing with each other had to be infinitely more interesting than rubbing elbows with the people down in their respective companies.
"...Drinks are in the usual place. Help yourself to something, if you want."

Mukuro wanted to raid Hibari for a strong drink, but the comfort of where he sat was preventing him from getting one. Lazy wasn't really the word for it, more like tired and not wanting to move after he'd just gotten comfortable. Maybe he'd get one in a little bit. If he didn't fall asleep first.
"What you think and what others think will usually differ when it comes to these kinds of things Skylark," he mused, waving his hand in a non-particular gesture. "But you know you're limits, so I won't say anything beyond that on the matter."

Skylark...
It had been only too long since he heard anyone call him that. Hibari turns as he speaks, finally looking at Mukuro for the first time since the other man came in.
"If I don't stay on top of things, there's no telling what will happen."

Mukuro hummed again at the words, knowing that they were all too true. Even if that life was behind them, well for him at least, there's no telling what could happen in the present day life. Keeping on their toes, an intricate dance they had to participate in.
With an exaggerated sigh, he stood up, finally ready to have that drink.
"Wasn't your brother coming as well?"

No drinks for him, maybe - or perhaps they'll come later, since Xanxus was bound to make him drink even a little once he was around. He was content with his cigarettes for the moment.

"'Was'. Meaning he might not?"
