The view, for the most part, was still. Lissuria was not particularly fond of car rides since the idleness bored him, but somehow this one was a little more bearable, with Ryohei by the wheel talking about nonsense. His voice alone soothed the tired diva who saw nothing but car lights brushing past them.
When the car turned towards the highway, Lissuria cannot help but ask "Where are we heading, Ryohei?"
"Outside the city," was the short answer, and Ryohei was talking about elsethings again. It was only when he made the turn that marked the start of the scenic route at the base of a small mountain that he became quiet.
The lady's eyes lit up upon the sight of the lights pointing at Mt. Fuji. It was naturally fabulous, the smooth curves of the mountain with the white accent of snow at the top.
Lissuria did not imagine to have a date like this. Did Ryohei plan to take him up to the mountain, shout from the top of his lungs just to profess his love for him? The idea was extreme, then again Ryohei was extreme. The thought of a lovey-dovey moment up in the mountains thrilled Lissuria.
Honestly, it didn't matter to the diva where he would have a quiet talk with the boxer. Anywhere was fine, he thought. As long as it was memorable, anywhere would be perfect.
The view was actually one he’d only seen in day time, so the scenery still managed to surprise him even as he drove. Eventually, he found a nice speed to maintain. It should be a smooth ride provided that nothing popped up on the road or something.
He wondered if he should say something, but felt that the important things shouldn’t be said inside a car. After thinking about it, though, he settled for one. “Thanks for agreeing to go a date with me.” Unfortunately, he had never been one to keep quiet for very long.
He hadn't noticed when Lissuria switched back to calling him by name. Was it after the dance? But now that he's noticed, it made him feel a little warm and relieved.
Finding himself at a loss for words again, he eventually decided to just keep silent.
Lissuria was at a loss for words during the drive, simply enjoying the view as they passed by. He eventually broke the silence by sharing his experience in bathing at Hakone, a small town at the foot of Mt. Fuji.
"The hot springs were really lovely in Hakone. The onsen we took had a lovely view of the mountain too. Ahn~ I'll never forget that~."
He was listening to Lissuria speak of Hakone with the niggling feeling at the back of his head that he should know that name. Hakone? Now why was that familia--- Oh! OH!
"Aah, Kyoko and I were planning to gather people up to go there after Christmas," he finally said. "Come with us, Li!"
"Is it really okay with you if I come?" Lissuria felt the invitation was too sudden. He wasn't in the position to accept if he was getting in the way of some family bonding time between the Sasagawas.
More so... he wasn't sure if he was ready to go to the same hot bath as Ryohei. Although they have shared saunas, he hasn't really, gone to the same bath as the man did. Lissuria cupped his blushing cheeks with his gloved hands (he was wearing Ryohei's gloves tonight!), unsure whether he was ready to see Ryohei all naked in the onsen.
"Of course," he nodded. "We're inviting other people too, but I'd be happy if you came." Was he being too forward about it again? Was Li going to say no? "You don't have to answer now, though," he added. "Think about it?"
And! And! Gloves! That Li was wearing them made him happy. "You're wearing them," Ryohei blurted out, and could have smacked himself for the stupidity of pointing it out. Vaguely, he found his own cheeks heating up.
"Okay. Just tell me when and if my schedule permits, I'll go," Lissuria politely answered Ryohei as he watched the mountain scenery change from his seat. "I really can't say much but I have a busy month ahead. We're doing our New Year's Special after all." He found his thoughts drifting towards work, wondering how he could juggle through all the events and features that would be coming his way.
It took Ryohei's ecstatic remark that made Lissuria turn his attention back at his date. He found himself blushing harder as he replied, "Of course, Ryohei. This was your gift after all."
