Unfortunately, the silence eventually started getting uncomfortable for Ryohei, used as he was to noise around him. "Um, do you want to listen to something?" he asked quietly, turning into a bigger road leading out of Namimori.
Hrmm..~ <3lethaldivaDecember 11 2008, 06:57:25 UTC
"Oh. Okay. If you want to." Ryohei's voice surprised the diva a bit, making him look towards the boxer who really had a handsome profile. Lissuria shifted his thoughts and turned his look away, leaning his head on his window and watched the road widen.
He wondered where Ryohei was taking him. His heart skipped a bit wondering if he should have worn something more sophisticated or something warmer in case he took him up to the mountains. A part of him wanted to ask where they were heading, but he didn't have the heart to say anything. He was much too flustered to be this close to Ryohei.
"Mkay." Twiddling with the car radio was harder than expected though, used as he was to his truck's clunky, sort of beat-up old one. Eventually, he managed to get it on and to a decent radio station playing Christmas songs.
My idea of a perfect Christmas~ Is to spend it with you~ In a party or dinner for two~ Anywhere would do~~~ Was it an American song? It sounded nice anyway. Eventually, he found himself humming along, glancing once in a while to see of Lissuria was still all right in his seat.

Lissuria sat comfortably, blushing at how fate seems to tempt his heart, playing Christmas songs like that. He suddenly regretted agreeing with Ryohei to open that radio or go on this date for that matter.
The diva didn't like his heart being played like this. He was very fragile lady right now.
I'M DREAMING OF A WHITE CHRISTMAS~~~extremeonwheelsDecember 11 2008, 07:26:13 UTC
Ryohei noticed Lissuria's new unease and, impulsively, reached over to pat his hand. He'd be more affectionate but he was aware that he shouldn't push it yet. Lissuria might bolt or something and they were speeding along so that was kind of really bad.

Lissuria jumped in his seat, wishing he jumped out of the car instead and into the middle of the highway. He was not okay, of course he was not okay! He had sworn himself to forget Ryohei yet here he was holding her hand, his eyes looking at him and not on the road.
"No I'm not. Not when you're driving and you keep on looking at me. Keep your eyes on the road, please."
He swore that hand was warm to his touch and if it weren't for his weak demeanor, he would have laced his fingers around it. Oh his fragile heart! Why does it tremble so~?!

"..." Ryohei did a very vague pout and did as told, retrieving his hand and putting it firmly on the wheel of the car as good drivers were supposed to, keeping his eyes on the road. He'd been driving since he got out of high school -- if there was anyone Lissuria should trust behind the wheel, it'd be him! And maybe the coach. Maybe.
"Sorry," he mumbled, thinking of what to do now. No matter, they were near their destination. Ryohei took to humming Christmas ballads instead, following the music playing in the radio.

Lissuria knew that Ryohei didn't take his comment lightly. Somehow the words were not coming out as what he intended. For that, the lady felt sorry and chose to just keep his stupid mouth shut throughout the entire ride.

They eventually came upon the building where the La Rochelle was located. "We're here," he said unnecessarily as he tossed the keys over to a valet. Afterwards, he quickly hurried off to open the door for Lissuria before anyone could, still determined to impress. Ryohei held his arm out again, because this was a date and anyway. Well, it was nice.
And a partridge in a pear tree~~ *attempts*extremeonwheelsDecember 11 2008, 08:16:41 UTC
A smile just for him? Victory! Ryohei beamed back and led them to into the building, straight to the elevator. He almost forgot what the restaurant's floor number was, but thankfully, the elevator buttons had signs.
Right.
When the elevator doors opened, he hoped, rather fervently, that Lissuria liked the restaurant's set up.
Thank you~! Thank you~! Thank you very much, thank you!lethaldivaDecember 11 2008, 08:46:39 UTC
Lissuria was impressed to see a restaurant that was dear to him when he was still living in Tokyo. Chef Sakai's La Rochelle was one of his favorite restaurants, not because Sakai was an Iron Chef, but the old man had a taste for elegance which Lissuria truly enjoyed.
His eyes lit up when he entered the restaurant. He didn't imagine Ryohei could even get reservation in the restaurant this soon!
"Wow..." was the only thing Lissuria could say about this. Without a doubt, the lady was moved by this choice.
Three blind mice! Three blind--- wait. Jingle bells jingle bells~!extremeonwheelsDecember 11 2008, 09:48:41 UTC
Ryohei spoke to the maitre'd, who looked at a list, gave Ryohei a slightly thin smile, and led them to their table. It was near the large glass windows at the back of the restaurant, where it was quieter and (Ryohei hoped) more romantic.
Before the man could step in, Ryohei pulled out a chair for Lissuria with the intention of helping him sit. Being gentleman was a little hard and stiff, but it was certainly fun in its own way.
The Batmobile lost its wheel and joker got away! HEY!lethaldivaDecember 11 2008, 11:24:46 UTC
Lissuria appreciated the gesture and sat quietly, smiling at his date, wishing that it would only go as far as this and nothing more. Lissuria was not to sure what he wants to happen tonight. For sure he wishes to be friends with Ryohei, but Ryohei was asking for more, and he cannot, in his right senses, even if he had spent 4 years dreaming about it, just simply take this pure soul's heart.
In the lady's head, it was one of those masochistic love affairs wherein it was perfectly alright for him to love Ryohei but it's alright for him not to take Ryohei's love. He still felt that he did not deserve Ryohei. He was too kind, and he... was naturally a fag.
Lissuria found himself looking outside the window, watching the city lights sparkle beneath them.
Oooh, that one that goes Jingle Bells, Batman smells, Robin laid an egg~!extremeonwheelsDecember 11 2008, 12:05:18 UTC
Ryohei felt that he was doing something right now, even if Lissuria was still being quiet. Quiet wasn't so bad, anyway. It just meant that his date was appreciating the night, right? He beamed at the lady and then, because he was feeling rather happy, also beamed at the waiter that came forward to ask them if they wanted anything.
Which was, he supposed, the end of his good luck for the night, maybe. This, he hadn't exactly planned on.
"Uhm!" he said, sheepish though still cheerfully bright-eyed. Their food would be served in sets, right?! S-so he didn't actually have to... read all those weird words?

Lissuria noticed his date make an effort to try to read through tonight's menu. He glanced Ryohei's way and asked "Would you like me to read the menu for you?"
He didn't mean to intrude or embarrass Ryohei in any way. But he's not cruel enough to make Ryohei stutter in front of the waiter.
