Lissuria was putting on his lipstick by the time the doorbell rang, his hair (more of bangs) already blown and his clothes snug to his skin. The whole day was spent wasted on finding the right clothes to wear. Ryohei didn't mention to Lissuria on how this 'date' will go and it made the diva a nervous wreck before his closet. Five hours and 50 wardrobe changes later the, diva settled for a sleek silk shirt tucked inside a high-waisted skirt. It was neutral enough for him to do anything, in case Ryohei threw something strange on this date, but still fabulous enough for him to be seen in.
The diva slipped in his 4-inch heels as soon as he got everything in place. He swallowed his breath (and pride) when he opened the door. He tried to smile, although it must have looked weird since he was greatly nervous.
Ryohei looked up at his date and nodded, at a loss for words at the sorta cold greeting. He wasn't going to let that beat him, he thought! Ryohei handed the roses over.
"Good evening, Li!" he greeted, smiling and deliberately using his nickname for the other man. And then, taking in the rest of his date's appearance: "You look nice." Which was true. And taller, too, but Ryohei wasn't about to complain.
Lissuria received the flowers with a smile. A faint smile. A smile that would probably be wider if the diva was a little less anxious about tonight. He knew that tonight Ryohei will lay down all his cards tonight. The idea scares the diva a lot.
"Would you like to come in for a bit? I'll just get my bag." The diva swings the door wider to let Ryohei in before scuttling back to his room to get his bag ready.
Ryohei was just debating with himself the pros and cons (or right and wrong) of leaning in to peck Lissuria on the cheek. He'd been told he should do it (and he wanted to!) but it seemed highly wrong to take advantage of Li. Blinking, he followed the diva in the flat and waited dutifully near the door. They weren't staying long, anyway; he didn't need to sit down. (Also, he was a little nervous to sit down.)
The rest of the apartment was familiar to him, too, having come by a few times before. He'd never really noticed how tasteful it was until now, though, that he was trying to do tasteful things. But somehow, it still seemed comfortable to live in.
Right. Say something, Sasagawa! "You, um. Don't mind French food, right?"
French food? Lissuria raised his brow when he heard it once he stuffed his essentials in his bag. He wasn't expecting having an extravagant date, but Ryohei offering French food for dinner was impressionable. Somehow, it was hard for Lissuria to imagine ordering a duck fricassée or a cassoulet but it was cute enough to make the lady giggle for a bit. It was cute imagining how Ryohei would try fumbling for his words later. If it gets tough, he could do the ordering.
With his bag in his arm, he walked out of his bedroom saying "Yes, French food is fine by me. Also, I am ready to go." The lady stood tall, a little over Ryohei. Strange. Now he felt a little bad looking down on his date. "Does this height make you feel comfortable, Sasagawa? I could switch to a lower heel."
He shook his head and smiled up at Lissuria, wondering if his date was finally easing up. Hopefully, he was. "Nah, it's fine. I can see you, so it's all good!" Anyway, it didn't really matter to him. Ryohei had been quite short most of his life! And Li really did look nice.
The man offered out his arm for Lissuria to take, a little impishly. "Shall we, my lady?"
The lady found himself blush upon being called 'his lady'. He found himself losing his tough face and quietly, with trembling fingers, slipped his hand in Ryohei's arm.
Briefly, he touched the back of Lissuria's hand with his free hand, trying to reassure him. And then he led the way to the elevator, all the way downstairs where he had asked the guard to hold his (borrowed) car while he picked Li up.
And then, in a perfectly gentleman fashion, he opened the passenger door for his date and waited for Li to get in, a little (tiny bit!) proud of himself for remembering.

Lissuria was surprised that rather than the same old truck that Ryohei always drove, the man made an effort to change his car for this dinner. He wondered if Ryohei actually bought the car or borrowed it from one of the boys in the gym. Either way, for once, the diva felt the car match up to his fashion sense. He was greatly impressed by this, so much so that he wished he could say more words to her date. But it was hard for the lady. One would say that she was speechless.
With a quiet 'Thanks', the lady slipped in the car. It was comfortable... and strangely smelled of Tanda's aftershave. Oh dear... not THAT guy.
Only for you, bb!extremeonwheelsDecember 11 2008, 05:54:32 UTC
Ryohei quickly hopped over to the driver's seat, pulling the car off the apartment complex's driveway and hitting the road. The restaurant was a little far away, but hopefully, there wouldn't be traffic and the drive wouldn't take too long. He was getting hungry, too.
Now the problem was what to do or talk about on the way there. The silence was fairly comfortable for him, though, so he waited for Lissuria to start.
Lissuria kept quiet inside the car, looking out at the city lights whizz by his window. There were things that he wanted to ask and say to Ryohei but his words seem to get caught by his throat.
He chose to keep his mouth shut. Silence was a comforting for him. It set his heart at ease.
