WHO: Tsuna and Mukuro WHAT: Resolving some issues or at least attempting to WHERE: Photo shoot studio WHEN: 7 Dec, Sunday (after the photo shoot) RATING: PG WARNING(s): Er...
lolol 27 asked for this one. ;DmanipulaterDecember 8 2008, 16:43:13 UTC
Two things came to mind when as Mukuro watched the brunette fall in the proverbial slow motion: I knew it and run.
His thought quickly bypassed the first one in a split second and his legs had moved on their own before the second thought really registered in his mind. It felt horribly cliche, like from a bad romance movie, but he hoped that it at least would end up like a cliche movie and let him break Tsuna's fall. However, the manager knew that things rarely, if ever, turned out the same as in the movies.
Instead of hoping to have a steady foothold when he got there, Mukuro's foot got caught in one of the numerous cords, making his balance waver a little as he wrapped his arms around the smaller figure. But with the added weight, his balance was offset and he knew that they wouldn't be standing upright and braced himself for the fall. He brought Tsuna closer to his chest and turned slightly so that his back impacted the ground. A shot of pain rippled through him, but it wasn't that much of a big deal. He had far worst before.
lol what. I was about to let him crack his head or smth (: srsxx100dontkillmeDecember 8 2008, 16:56:35 UTC
The impact never came. Or it did and Tsuna never noticed because he was still squeezing his eyes shut, arms wrapped protectively round the SLR, mind generating a million ways to save the pictures and hopefully get the Christmas special out in time. It took him a while, a moment too long to realise the wait was over and the fall had come and gone. He was... unscathed and it didn't make sense. The brunette peeked with one eye, only to let the other fly wide at once. Mukuro. Mukuro... protected me.
Once it sank in, the brunette stopped gaping and tried to untangle them, SLR and their 'feud' all forgotten. "Oh no are you okay? Are you injured? Why did you do that? Does it hurt? Where? No broken bones right? I'm so sorry!"

Mukuro let his arms fall away as he watched Tsuna try to sit up and blast him with question after question. He simply laid there, letting the brunette have his little bout of panic before he said anything. And if he were honest, it was all rather cute the way Tsuna was fussing over something so trivial as breaking a fall. At the worst, he'd probably feel a small ache for a day or two if he was that unlucky.
When the younger man finally finished, the manager let out an amused smile. "Yes, no, because, no, nowhere, none, and what for?"
i had to re-read my questions lol what 69xx100dontkillmeDecember 9 2008, 02:18:12 UTC
Tsuna sat on his kneels, camera set aside and forgotten, fussing, checking, proding like a mother hen. It wasn't as if he knew what he was looking for but sitting around doing nothing would have made him feel worse. Furrowing his brows, the brunette scanned every possible injury area, elbows, head, knees, arms, wherever he could press a worried touch to, he did. But there was nothing visible and listening to Mukuro's reply confused him. What had he asked? He couldn't remember. Tsuna could only hope that Mukuro meant yes I'm okay and nothing sinister. His because and what for didn't make sense.
"I err... can't remember what I asked so um... I'll call the company physician alright? You stay here okay?" He said, getting ready to stand.
lol XDD at least he answered them?manipulaterDecember 9 2008, 02:27:03 UTC
If it had been anyone else, he wouldn't have appreciated being fused over and prodded like Tsuna was doing. However, knowing that the younger man only meant well, Mukuro allowed it just this one time. He had a feeling that Tsuna would have insisted on checking himself as best he could before going all out and calling someone to check him properly. Which was what the young boss was about to do.
Mukuro chuckled lightly as he took hold of the brunette's wrist in a firm but not harmful grip to stop him from going anywhere. He hardly needed a physician for something so minor. Besides, he didn't like doctors of any sort.
"There's no need for that. I'm fine, really," he mused with a grin. "Don't need to overreact to something so small."
unfortunately muse does not remember lolxx100dontkillmeDecember 9 2008, 02:42:15 UTC
Tsuna couldn't help the unease evident in his expression, his eyes kept darting about, hoping to spot something, anything. It was almost as if he wanted Mukuro to be hurt so that he could stop wondering and maybe because he always wanted someone to spoil but Mukuro was definitely not the best candidate. Maybe Lambo... but that would mean disaster. Tsuna shook the random thoughts away. But what if there were injuries that the naked eye couldn't see or the worried touch couldn't feel? He didn't want to handicap the Kokuyo manager, especially since he-- no, they had risen out of their situation and against circumstance to be this... civil, as though nothing had transpired between them. Tsuna wondered how long they could keep this act up.
"Are you sure? I mean..." He stammered, still standing.
aww 27, you tempt my fangirl lolmanipulaterDecember 9 2008, 02:52:49 UTC
"I'm positive."
And to show that he really was fine, at least physically, Mukuro slowly stood up and dusted the near invisible specks of dirt off his clothes. Admittedly there was a small pain on the right side of his back where the fall had been hardest, but it wasn't something he couldn't handle. He figured a good night's sleep and painkillers, if necessary, where all he needed to be back to his normal self. It was how he'd dealt with minor bruising in the past and this would be no different. Any further medical attention was unnecessary.
Mukuro turned his gaze to the brunette. "But enough about me, how about you? Any injuries?" He let his eyes assess Tsuna as he asked those questions, wanting to make sure for himself that the other was all right.
omg how did 27 do that, i must record.xx100dontkillmeDecember 9 2008, 03:04:29 UTC
Tsuna was never comfortable with attention. He wanted the least of it, the lesser the better, it made him nervous and jittery, like he overdosed on sugar. Bowing his head, he wrung his hands together, trying to find something to distract him from fidgeting. There was this... void between them, blocking.
"No!" He blurted out at once. Too quickly. It sounded like a cover up but that was the way he communicated, always too eager, like a child wanting to please.
"I'm okay. I mean... you err... you took my fall," Tsuna found those words incredibly difficult to say. "Um... You should... go see a doctor or something, just in case." After a moment, he finally leveled his gaze.
why? to tempt me more? lolmanipulaterDecember 9 2008, 03:21:06 UTC
"Believe me when I say I've had worse than this little fall," Mukuro said, amusement coming back in his tone. "Shouldn't worry too much about me."
And he meant that in more ways than one.
Though the manager had set aside any "issues" that they had for the benefit of the shoot going as smoothly as possible, the thoughts still lingered whenever he wasn't needed on set. He had been in the same vicinity as the brunette for most of the day and now for extra time in which he didn't know how long would last. The more he had thought about it, the more tempting the idea of just letting everything go was becoming. Mukuro almost felt like a petulant child not getting what he wanted, even though he didn't know what it was he wanted. And he knew that Tsuna didn't deserve any backlashes from his wayward thoughts that he was having some difficulty sorting through. He shouldn't have involved Tsuna at all.
Mismatched eyes gazed into amber ones, hoping to convey a little assurance that he was fine.
no! for my personal use ok!xx100dontkillmeDecember 9 2008, 03:29:36 UTC
Tsuna did not see any form of assurance in blue and red eyes. He saw clouded confusion and frustration masked behind crooked smiles and unblinking gaze. The brunette only hoped there was no fear in amber eyes. He wanted to fix them.
"Worse than this...?" Oh. Skylark. "I err..." He searched for words to cover up the awkwardness. "I have every right to worry! I mean err..I'm heavy."
eeehhh?? o.o if that's the case, not telling! lolmanipulaterDecember 9 2008, 03:38:40 UTC
Another light chuckle. "Hardly. I may not look it, but I am strong," Mukuro said, trying to make light of the situation. But he wasn't lying either. To him, Tsuna wasn't as heavy as others who had landed themselves on him. This was nothing compared to weights that doubled the young boss's.
But now it was time to direct this conversation away from himself. "Anyway, I hope what you were fretting about was worth the risk of cracking your head open for." Divert but show earnest curiosity.
Tsuna blinked blankly at Mukuro, face contorted as he tried to make head and tails out of the conversation. Cracking my head... OH! THE CAMERA!
The brunette nearly jumped out of his skin, squeaking as he made a mad dash for his SLR. Oh no. Oh no. Please. Don't do this to me Tunacakes! Don't die on me, not now please! His trusty SLR was named Tunacakes by his colleagues at his previous publishing house. It was named such because he always misplaced it and colleagues had to go round asking: 'Have you seen Tsuna's camera. Yeah Tsuna's camera. Tuna's camera. Tsuna Tuna Tuna Tuna.' And the rest were history now, not that he would EVER say it out loud.
He was mumbling to himself, "Come on work Tunacakes!"
nuh-uh, you'll use it against me D:manipulaterDecember 9 2008, 03:56:36 UTC
Mukuro blinked his own eyes when Tsuna started to become frantic once more and did he just call the camera 'Tunacakes'? If his ears were working correctly, then he had just received some valuable information. Even more so if no one else knew about Tsuna calling his camera such a name. He mentally stored it away.
He watched the photographer tinker around with his SLR, wondering what could have caused such panic in the brunette. Trying to figure out the best to calm the other down without startling him to drop his camera seemed like a tough task to do and he actually debated to just let Tsuna continue to spazz until he was spazzed out. But how long that would be, he didn't know for sure. Measuring the amount of time the Vongola stuck to one emotion was like counting the number of grains of sand in the world. Practically impossible.
YOU WEREN'T SUPPOSED TO HEAR THE TUNACAKES PART DAMNITxx100dontkillmeDecember 9 2008, 04:04:22 UTC
Tsuna was this close to whining or pouting or wibbling or whatever emotion he was supposed to express to get his SLR working again. What's wrong Tunacakes? I didn't drop you and you were working fine just now! Battery is.. Oh. Wait a minute... How long have I been shooting? 4 hours? 6? 8?
"UM! It will be!" He called out, desperately digging for a power source. I hope! Perhaps the battery was just dead... and everything was still saved in the memory card. Yes, think positive now Tsuna. Believe in Tunacakes!
Not knowing what else to do, Mukuro just hung back and watched on in amusement as Tsuna made sure that his camera was all right. From his vantage point, it didn't seem broken and he hadn't heard any noise that indicated it was dropped on the ground. He really does overreact sometimes, he mused to himself as he continued to observe while a small part of himself hoped, for Tsuna's sake, that the camera was just fine.
ooc - now you can use that picture (:xx100dontkillmeDecember 9 2008, 04:17:07 UTC
Tsuna only let out a breath he had been holding when the display burst into life. The last shot had been Mukuro and Chrome and it was... perfect.
Hanging the camera down on his neck, he plugged it to the laptop and wobbled over to Mukuro. He wanted to share it with someone. Because something so beautiful deserved to be flaunted. The models were the key.
Tsuna beamed as he shoved the screen into Mukuro's face. The image amplified 150%. It was perfect for the December page of the calender.

At least he's not injured. Hopefully.
