It was nine o'clock in the morning when Constance arrived at the office, carrying her Praline mocha drink and her boss's White Mocha Americano. It was still early, since life in La Diva often started a little past 9:30. So she did her routine, checking the day's mail and gathering the newspapers and paperworks she'd be dumping on the diva's desk. Once she had most things in her hand, she pushed Lissuria's door with her hip, inching carefully inside only to be caught by surprise with Lissuria on his couch, looking at the different print plates for the next issue. In all honesty, the print needed to be out by 30th just so it could get to shelves by December. And Constance knew too well that Lissuria did not like the delays but...
"Good morning, Lili." Constance greeted with a smile, handing her boss' coffee. Lissuria looked up with a weak smile before brushing his bangs aside to check out the different plates for printing. "Are those the plates for next month's issue?"
"Yes. We're only missing around 4 pages, including the cover." Lissuria spoke tersely before blowing to the mouthpiece of his cup. In his head ran different images for the cover, random flashes of Ryohei's face. He spent the entire night reading the poem he sent quietly and in earnest. He realized that as much as he moved away from Ryohei, fate seemed to spin things around just to get them together. And despite what he has read, Lissuria's already resolved to let him go. It was painful but, he was already tired of love.
Constance noticed her boss' gaze on the plates, knowing all too well the thoughts running in her boss' head. She sidled up to the diva, taking a peek before asking "Will you be at the shoot later, Lili?"
"I don't know what time my meeting will end, Constance."
Constance pursed her lips and then continued, "If you leave the boys handling the photoshoot, next month's cover would be unfab."
Lissuria's turned to his secretary with a raised brow, "La Diva will never be unfab, Constance."
With that the secretary smiled and held on to Lissuria's hand, "Well, you better be at the photoshoot then. We're all counting on your input and... he'll be waiting. okay?" She gave her boss a tight hug afterwards before heading back to her desk. Constance hoped that Lissuria will try, at least at the last part to check on the staff and especially Ryohei. The diva never missed the cover photoshoot since the beginning, so this one shouldn't be an exception.
