He drove through the dark streets like a man with a goal (and he was a man with a goal), making his way through half the town to the group of highrises that he knew as Lissuria's residence. The building was easily one of the poshier structures there -- Ryohei parked at the street under a traffic enforcer's watchful eye, taking the bonquet of freesias with him as he got off his truck.
The people there knew him well enough, having dropped off Lissuria often in the past. The guard at the receptionist let him in upon checking his ID (thankfully, he had his license with him!) and a greeting of good evening. He nodded back, licking his lips nervously, and made his way to the elevator to Lissuria's floor.
Once there, he put the flowers at the bottom of the man's door and-- knocked. Very loudly. Practically hammered at it, actually. And then he fled before anyone could come out, barging into the stairwell and running down the stairs. MISSION SUCCESSFUL!
The card on the flowers said:
I'm sorry, please forgive me?
It was unsigned, but his handwriting was unmistakable.
