second batch

So we decided to go ahead and make another batch. ...our reasoning for this?  We figure we will be so excited with the first batch that we will want to drink it all.  Which means that there won't be any left to age in the barrels.  So we made a batch to experiment with.  We may need to start another batch.  I really want to play with the juice ratios.

Recipe:
1 gallon of 100% apple juice (same brand)
4.5 cups of sugar (we likes it sweet)
1 packet yeast.

I had a hard time getting the premix into the funnel which resulted in the need to mop.  opps.
Now we know that we need a different pot...possibly an aluminum or cheap steel pot that we can bang a dent into the side for ease of pouring.

Filled the carboy, set the airlock and waited.  Bubbles within a couple of hours.

Have noted that the second batch is darker in color till it fully aerates.  interesting.

Both batches are labeled and bubbling nicely.
