Floppy vs Jump drive--------YAY FOR HEROES!!
Picture it: Tuesday, 4:45 p.m., Kent State Library--2nd floor Periodicals Desk
I hand my floppy disk to Krystal and asked her to open it for me. Brian (Gardner) was standing 5 feet from me. He looks at the floppy, looks at me:
Brian: Susan, did I just see what I think I saw?
ME: What?
Both: The floppy disk---(me in question form).
Brian: A floppy? That is just so....*shivers*
Me: Well, I cant afford to buy a jump drive. Sorry. You wanna buy me one for Christmas?
End of conversation.
Picture it: Wednesday (today) 4:00 p.m., Kent State Library--2nd floor ILL
I walk back to ILL to scan some articles for Diane and Kristen. I see Brian, and hit him with my newspaper.
Brian: Hey! Be nice b/c Im going to be nice to you.
Me: *confused* Um, about what? Oh....the floppy and jump drive thing?
Brian: Yes. *leaves*
10 minutes later
Jessica (Brians wife): Now Susan, I have something for you.
ME: *turns, looks at her* Um...
Jessica: No, not the biscotti.
Both: *laughs*
Jessica: No, I have something for you, but you have to solemly swear that...
Both: To never use another floppy disk again.
Jessica: Exactly! *hands me a jump drive*
Me: OMG! Are you serious??! Thank you!
Jessica: No, thank Brian. He's the one that gave it to you.
Me: WOW!! You think he would freak out if I gave him a hug?!
Brian is awesome. He is my new personal hero. Its just a little one--but it can hold like 20 floppies on it no problem.
Wow, I'm excited!! YAY!!

In addition: I saw Brian the next day, and I did in fact give him a hug, and no he didnt freak out, but damn he's so tall that it was just awkward!! LOL! :)
