WOOT, IT'S DONE! But before I go any further in my, uh, glee, I'd like to mention that there are rumors floating about that Black Cat will have a 24th episode that will be a DVD exclusive. There's no conclusive evidence about that yet, but here's hoping they'll hire an animation team that cares about their project, if the rumors are true. I

I haven't read the manga so I can't compare the two, but I really enjoyed the series...

Thanks for the caps, I grabbed them. I'm really gonna miss my weekly fix of Black Cat. I had no clue this was the last episode at all. I thought it was supposed to have 52 *cries.*

But that explains why the anime rushed the manga plot. Oh well, I'll be praying for a season 2, because I want more!

I'm still convinced that Black Cat was planned to be 52 episodes in the long run, but they cut it down for some reason, as evidenced by the rushed ending and inclusion of filler episodes earlier on. Oh man, I was so rattled when I went on L33t-raws the other day and saw "Black Cat 23 [END]" on their torrent list. I was like, "What you say?!" and they were like, "ALL YOUR BASE ARE BELONG TO US."

Woah, went off the deep end, there. In any case, I think now's a good time for me to start downloading subs. Woot, woot. Thanks for downloading all these sub-par caps, Neptune; It means, like, 50 thousand tons of cookies to me. ♥

Haha, you SHOULD get a thousand cookies. You have no idea how helpful those caps are to me :). I just went on an icon making spree, and like 95% of the Black Cat batch is thanks to you.

At least I can keep this show alive in my heart through my new found icon love (and my Jenos Hazard claim at the icon comm). Hooray!

Gah! I can't believe this is the last one! I really wish GONZO hadn't cut it so short, I mean, episode 16 (right?) was that creepy Saya-copy's filler! They could have done so much good with things like that. (But mostly that one. I hated that episode. It was totally pointless)

That Icchan/Doctor comparison is so scary~! I'm gonna go with Icchan, just because the Doctor is a psycho! XD

So I've been scouring the net, looking for information on WHY it was cut short, but can't find anything. Unfortunately, through most of it's run, I hardly ever found BC info anywhere but this community. Have you seen or heard anything? We're ratings bad or something?

That rating thing is my only guess. At the beginning, they were clearly aiming for a much longer series because they wrapped it up far too quickly. I mean, they didn't even make it 24 episodes, which would have made much more sense, seeing as how most series end around 24-25, not 23.
