today was my first day semi-serving at cracker barrel. i haven't dropped/spilled anything yet, but only b/c i was really paranoid that i would. everything went really well. i worked from 10am to 2. it was kinda busy and there were a lot of elderly ppl there during breakfast time. i'm getting along w/ everyone so far. the staff is really nice and so are the customers. i serve on monday through wednesday w/ a trainer, just like today. i'm looking forward to serving by myself and trying to figure out the dishes and what goes w/ what. i need a lot of work putting their order into the micros computers. i'm still not comfortable w/ that. anyway, i had training on tuesday and we spent an entire 3 hours just going through the breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus. they made me write down the abreviattions for each dish, remember what dishes get garnished w/ an orange, lemon, etc. they also have really strict rules, but i don't even have enough time to write them down. peace out.
