and losing quite a lot.

Lately I've been living,
and lately I have not,
lately I've been watching
as hopes decay and rot.

Lately I've been sleeping,
and lately I have not,
lately I've been pond'ring
if I've missed my one big shot.

Lately I've been lost,
and lately I have not,
lately you have been my guide,
where I myself cannot.

Today has been a lost day,
today has gone to pot,
but luckily and lately now,
will quite soon be forgot.
