I have a job interview Santa Rosa at UCSF for 2nd year spot in family medicine. That'd be a switch from UCLA --> UCSF which is supposed to be one of the toppest programs.

Phone interview. Yargs.

What am I doing? It should be nice to have more options, I suppose. The bay area is far more uh progressive and easy to live in than los angeles. Which is why I decided that I didn't want to go there in the first place. Right? Too many activists up north.

I did move to a really really beautiful one bedroom in the eco village. The eco-vill'ans were featured in Voice of America Iran. Imagine a bunch of older progressive types holding chickens talking about car-free eco-friendly Los Angeles, dubbed into arabic. Way to support the face of america, co-op! See we aren't all facist, imperialists. Or at least some of us facists are also recycling and have chickens! Wee!

Had a nice reading group about class in feminist movement, via my newest love Anarcha La. Although I think anti-war marches are rather unfortunate, the best thing we decided to make pink bandannas or shawls that are screen printed with the words "This is not a Black Bloc" for our crew at the antiwar march. Other ideas in the awesome, but too much work category, Anarcha LA float for the anti-war parade, all pageant decked out like with sequins and elbow elbow wrist wrist femininity. (Making Pink A Threat Again... anyone? anyone? btw code pink isn't in la, so we don't clash) I wish I had time/money to do all the random conceptual art/politic of my dreams. Till then, I will avoid the leftist march madness.

If I stay in Los Angeles, I'm not sure I will be able to (or want to) stay in the eco-vil. I would like to start a radical housing collective if I left this building. That'd be awesomely awesome.

Also, I kinda want to change my kid's last name to Awesome.
