state of the apartment/Cafu

about 10 days before the surgery, I moved in with my amazingly awesome girlfriend. While the move had its moments of annoyances (such as the elevator at the new place not working once we had the largest items left to bring up), all in all, the move wasn't too bad or stressful.

Over the following week, i finished cleaning up my place, and at the last possible moment, managed to find a home for Cafu. Not just a home, but a great home, where he has much constant companionship of the human variety (retired grandmother), another cat of similar age and stature, and a young cocker spaniel who thinks he's a cat. Last reports were that the assimilation went well and that he's decidedly happy in his new environs. Which makes me happy knowing he's in a great place.

The new place is coming along, but we're waiting on furniture to arrive, so there are a lot of boxes. Girlfriend did an awful lot of puttings things together and getting things organized while I was in the hospital. So things are definitely coming together. In the evenings, when the humidity goes down, we have a couple of lovely rooftop terraces t relax with.

All in all, on this front, things are going well, and once we are a little more settled, our place is going to be (more) awesome
