Yes, I've changed my username. It's been a long time in coming. The mmagnet_ff moniker was hastily and un-thoughtfully chosen years ago to distinguish the LJ that I used for fandom stuff from the personal journal that I kept at the time. I interacted with RL friends on that one, and apparently didn't want them to know about my proclivity for reading/writing lots of fan fiction and generally geeking it up and fangirling all day long before the term 'fangirling' had even come into wider usage. :P
Shockingly enough, after six years without an update that personal journal still exists here, having not yet been deleted and purged: mischiefmagnet . Check it out if you're interested in the half-drunk ramblings of a directionless twenty-three year old, you really like annoying quizzes that tell you which 80's song you are, or if you enjoy drawn out musings on the difference between duck sauce and plum sauce (I am not kidding).
I have obviously grown quite a bit since then. Although... I always thought duck sauce was orange and syrupy and plum sauce was more viscous and gloopy, in spite of the fact that most people claim that they are the same thing... *cough* Right.
Anyway, yes. The only thing left to change is my fanfiction.net pen name, which I'll try to do forthwith in order to have all of my ducks in a row for the first time in awhile. Same name for LJ, Tumblr, fanfiction.net, AIM, etc. Since I've recently started playing in a few new fandoms, hopefully this will help to avoid confusion from here on out.
I've always sort of despised the 'mmagnet_ff' username, for obvious reasons-- it's garbly, unattractive, and contains an irritating underscore. Feeling good about this name change. Liberated, really. Maybe now I can actually get on with writing some fic!
