Micah is gifted with extraordinary intelligence, and cares very much for his deceased parents. Having a strong moral compass (though he has occasionally made less-than-moral choices), Micah believes there is a clear division between right and wrong. To this end, Micah (under the alias of REBEL) coupled with his own sense of morality and his ability, had set about contacting, warning, advising and leading evolved human fugitives all over the world.
As a kid Micah lived with his mother in Las Vegas, Nevada while his father was a fugitive from the law. He was then kidnapped by Linderman to fix an election, by manipulating the vote count on the computers. After being rescued he was sent to live with his great aunt and cousins in New Orleans. There he helps Monica learn about her new powers.
After his mom dies Micah heads out into the world teaming up with friends and rescuing other specials from the government. He loses friends and gains new ones, but never losing focus on his cause.
Micah losing his parents at a early age, then almost losing his remaining family to the government, has put a sense of self sacrifice to the people around him. He puts his life and well being above anyone else. Even if you hate his guts he would save your life or give you the last slice of bread. Going around the world he has seen the best and worst that people can do, yet he is still hopeful.
On a mission he saved the life a special with the power to change the age of anyone or thing she touched. As a reward she aged Micah to 18yrs old. She figured he would be still young enough to act as a kid, but old enough to be taken seriously by adults.
