DIE FAULKNER DIE
Ok, maybe Faulkner can't die b/c he's already dead and maybe I wouldn't really want him to die because I think he's brilliant. I'm extremely frustrated though b/c my essay is going nowhere. Why is Dr. G allowing us to write about what we want? You would think this would be easy, but not for me. Originally I proposed a thesis answering the question: What techniques does Faulkner use to make readers sympathize with his characters? How dumb is that? Then, I decided to write about racism b/c, in essence, that is what the book is about. After writing half of an essay on that topic I decided it, too, must go. Now I'm contemplating comparing Joe Christmas to Jesus Christ which would be incredibly hard...we're talking about some extensive reseach. So here I am drinking my fifth cup of coffee, listening to music, wondering how I am going to write 5-7 pages of crap worthy enough to receive an A (my goal in that class is to have the highest grade on every essay and/or make an A on my final paper and my teacher doesn't believe in giving A's!!!) by 9AM tomorrow. Wish me luck...
