[for Robin-backdated]

The third morning was no different to the earlier two, or so it seemed to Marian. Half asleep, her hand drifted up her husband's thigh, pulling him to her for a sleeping kiss. Yes, he was in a different body, but it did not occur to her in this state that there was an issue. He was still her husband.

Robin has had this sort of dream before though it leaves him with a vague sense of guilt of late. He does not see why he could not just dream of women other than Marian - there have been enough of them. He pulls the dream Marian close and perhaps if he had not opened his eyes to look at her he could have carried on believing it was so.

But his surroundings tell him what is truly happening and even though his sleep fogged mind knows he must be himself, (for Marian could not mistake Kaylee for her husband,) he finds his hands patting at his chest to confirm the absence of breasts. Not they weren't lovely breasts - he had found himself unable to not look - but they were much better off with Kaylee. It is really not a good idea for him to be thinking of Kaylee's breasts while he has Marian in his arms and her hand on his thigh. He groans sleepily and tries to roll away.

"What," she whispers, her eyes cracking open as he turns from her. It is a bit strange having Silence in Robin's body, but it is a strangeness she has gotten used to, she will admit that. Marian smiles at him, her hand cupping his cheek, "no morning kiss?"

He knows it is wrong, knows it with every fibre of his being . . . but it's also just a kiss. He is tempted to see just how long it takes her to catch on. "No," he said, "it would seem not."

She is not sure what makes her uncertain, drawing away from him with confusion plain on her features, "Silence?"

"No," he sat up, honestly trying not to even look in her direction - why torment himself with the sight. "It would seem the island is done with it's latest trick."

It is enough to send her out of the bed, on her feet in an instant, and wishing she wore more than her shift. "Robin? Please say this is a jest."

"It was never going to be permanent," he said exasperated. The fact that she has left the bed allows him to look firmly at the wall. "And if you think this is a jest you should still be calling me Silence. But it is not."

"I am sorry. It is disconcerting enough each morning to wake with my husband in another body, to have it truly be you," Marian feigns surprise, pulling a heavy tunic from a peg, and slipping it over her head.

"Yes," said Robin unable to help the discontent in his tone, "that would be much worse than waking up to find yourself dispossessed of your own body." He stumbles from the bed, "where are my clothes?"

"It is always you, is it not?" She truly cannot blame him, and yet she finds herself annoyed. "They are at the end of the bed."

It is somehow an easier situation to deal with when they are both dressed. Not an easy situation but easier. "Should we look for Silence," he offers, "he will no doubt be on his way here from wherever he has ended up."

"I know where he will have awoken. I will wait here for him." There is no reason for her to go anywhere, and not with Robin. "He will come here first."

Robin nods, and though she has not asked it and probably does not want it, settles in to wait with her. He would like to see Silence restored to himself.
