It was only after Marian had invited Robin for a meal that she started to think on it, and that perhaps it was not the best of ideas. Robin, Silence and she, all in one place for an extended period of time. She would not go back on her invitation, she would simply make the best of it, as she was sure the others would as well.
It was a simple enough meal. Marian had roasted two rabbits, something even she could manage, and Silence had made a simple stew of vegetables and meat that was left from their last nights meal. She had fetched bread from the kitchen, and fruit. Filling and plain.
Marian frowned as she set things out, wondering why she was concerned. She'd put on one of her nicer dresses, wanted things to go well. But why? Robin was a friend. Simply a friend. Catching sight of Silence she crossed where he stood, wrapping her arms about his waist and resting her head on his shoulder. "You are good to me," she whispered, tilting her to look into his eyes, "I love you."
