[for silence]

It was abominable. A floating woman had put her in a terrifying outfit that was completely indecent. And the shoes! She didn't know anything so ridiculous existed. They hung from her hand as she ran, hoping to find someone who would undo this monstrosity for her.

silence, marian

Silence hasn't been near the compound today, having been hunting already toward the other side of the island. He's on his way to the church when he sees what he thinks is Marian--but it can't be, because Marian wouldn't be wearing that...dress.

Marian wouldn't be wearing this dress, and would rather it go away, but in her panic she had run, and run towards a place of safety. "My lord!" She called out when she saw him, coming to alt a few feet away. "Tell me you have some of these magics and can help me remove this... This thing."

"Magics?" Silence is even more confused than he'd been a moment ago. "Lady Marian, what's happened to you?"

"There was a woman in a... Floating creation. Have you not seen? It is like the island has gone mad with all sorts of magics. She put me in this and then floated away!" That Marian was unimpressed wold have been an understatement. "Truly, I just ran. I did not want to go near the compound with so much madness on the loose."

Silence shakes his head. "Thy pardon, I know nothing of it. I have not been near the compound today."

"I would not recommend it," she responded darkly, all too aware that she felt mostly undressed. Her hands moved to cover her shoulders, but she realised that it likely just drew attention to them. "You have not found a wand anywhere? A small stick of wood?"

"I have seen a good deal of wood, but nothing worth picking up," Silence says. "Shall I look for one? Will that help thee?"

"Would you?" Now that she had calmed slightly she was trying to not act awkwardly, but it was difficult. She turned about, trying to see if she spotted anything. "I cannot imagine being stuck like this."

"Thou canst not simply remove it?" Silence asks, curiously, but starts scanning the ground nearby for bits of wood that fit her description.

She hadn't thought of that. "Perhaps, but I have not to change into, and I would like my old dress back."

Marian saw something then, in a tree. "There! That is one I believe."

"There?" Silence makes his way to the tree and tugs the wand from it. "What do I do?"

"I believe you point it at me and think of what you would rather have me wearing?" Marian was unsure herself, she'd never tried magic.

Silence has never tried it either, but he's willing. He does, however, have no idea what Marian ought to be wearing. He waves it at her in a vague, unpractised movement, and after a flash of light, he flinches.

"...I am sorry," he says sheepishly. "That is not what I meant to do."

"I would hope not!" She exclaimed looking down at herself. "I look like a common prostitute!" Only she suspected that they wore nowhere near ass nice material. Taking the wand from Silence, she took a deep breath and whispered "Anything but this, please."

She wished she had been a bit more selective when she opened her eyes and saw what she had done. "God is punishing me, isn't he? This is some bizarre punishment for... Things." That there was magic everywhere on the island mattered not, this was by far more upsetting.

Silence tries very hard not to laugh. He nearly succeeds. "It may indeed be," he agrees, "but I expect it likely more a trick of the fae than punishment of the Almighty."

Realising that Silence was indeed still there, she waved the wand again, somehow not ending up in what she desired, but at least she was mostly covered. Of course, it was still pink.

"The fae and this place." She grumbled
