We're waiting for turkey to come...we're waiting for turkey to come...

...heigh-ho the derry-oh, we're waiting for turkey to come!

So, the last few days have been eventful, to say the very least. Let's start with last Friday night.
Friday: Spent the entire day dawdling after observation as my class was cancelled for the day. Spent most of the evening trying to iron out PRAXIS problems with Amber...and then she came over and we worked on some practice problems for awhile. She left around 10 and I went to sleep.

Saturday: Woke up at 5:30, left the house at 7:10...took all three parts of the PRAXIS. Blaaaahhhh. It didn't take as long as I thought that it was going to take...so Amber, Christine, and I hit the road a few hours earlier than planned. We made it to my house in pretty good time and then had noodles for dinner. I promised to take Christine to the beach while we were there...so we headed out to Sullivan's Island and walked around on the beach...then trespassed a little...then drove around IOP and gawked at all the houses. Amber serenaded me on the way home (*laughs) and we all talked for like an hour after we turned off the lights for bed...I had a wicked time.

Sunday: Happy Birthday to ME! Woke up crazy early and headed out to the harbour to see Goblet of Fire at the IMAX. Overall, I was disappointed by the movie but I didn't hate it completely. Besides that, the visual cut out about 3 or 4 minutes before the end of the movie while the audio continued...and our sold-out theatre turned into an angry mob, throwing popcorn and drinks and screaming...and this usher girl stared yelling back (telling people to shut up and calling people "ho" and such...it was really quite entertaining). The girl got fired and we got our money back. Best movie experience EVER. *laughs* Then we went home and had a barbeque for dinner...then cake...then presents! I got a globe, a poster, a book, some magnetic games for the bus trip, lots of gum, money, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (Johnny Depp!!!!!!), ticket to see RENT on Broadway, and a ticket to see Chicago on Jan 3rd at the PAC with my mom. YAYAAAYAYAYAY! I also got a pile of emails and several phone calls. *loved* We left shortly after dinner and stopped in Columbia to so that I could see Thomas. It was like meeting him for the first time all over again.

Monday: Class.

Tuesday: First two classes went well. Threw together a presentation on Francophone literature and the history of Québec in between classes. Glee was okay. After Glee, I was heading down the stairs and stepp awkwardly...twisted my ankle and fell face-forward down the stairs. Screwed up my left leg, screwed up my right hand, skinned my left elbow. It was graceful, let me tell you. I managed to make it up to my next class and demanded that I be able to give my presentation before I left...so I gave my presentation and then Amber and Adam helped me over to health services. I was given crutches (as I failed to tell them about my hand) and told to keep all weight off my leg and that I was to go for x-rays. Hah. I went to Target where Geoff pushed me in a wheelchair...then home and watched Gilmore Girls. *laughs*

Today: Decided to give a self-diagnosis and the crutches have been on the floor most of the day. I have quite a few gorgeous bruises to show for it, though. My hand is worse though...so I have it wrapped in an ACE bandage. It's quite probably sprained...but I don't have time for that right now.

Leaving for NYC early, early tomorrow morning and I am thrilled out of my mind. Hah, like contusions and an injured thumb could stop me. *grin*
Wish me luck for my Carnegie Hall debut...I've been waiting for this for a VERY long time.

Happy Thanksgiving!
