He was able to slide back into this normal life once more. It was easy when you had a place waiting for you. They couldn't hide his return from Jackie. The woman dropped by more times than he could count. She nearly screamed when she saw the former angel standing in the kitchen eating and orange. All Castiel could do was let her hug him and stand awkwardly as he tried not to choke on his snack. Jackie had issues keeping secrets from Pete so he eventually came around to see for himself. A lot of poking and prodding. Loads of pleading from Rose for her father to not tell Torchwood. He was in charge so it'd be simple right?
Her lesbian neighbor was not happy to see Castiel again. She assumed the week long absence meant the broke up. She was very surprised when she saw him in the hallway on his own. She looked very irritated that he was back. He still was not sure why she hated him so much. He was going to have to figure that out eventually if he wanted peace with that woman.
At first he had been catching up on a lot of sleep. He was constantly passed out on the couch when she was out or when she was doing some work on her own. He was tired for some unknown reason. He was finally sleeping through the night again and now it was incredibly hard to wake him.
Snore, snore, snore. He's out cold in the bed.
