Funny little ending. Adam would have made such a good villain. He was so ripe for it, so underutilized. Too bad. Good story. I think he only ended up spending a few months or maybe a year in the coffin, depending on whether it's using comic book time or TV show time. And all that time, you must recall, Adam was trapped in the coffin with Kaito's slowly decaying corpse. At least, that was my impression. That had to be the most awful part of it.

I can't find anything saying Kaito was in there with him, but it's definitely an interesting take. It would also require delving into Hiro's psyche and what changed to make him willing to trap Adam with the man he killed and later to dig up his father's corpse.

Thanks for reading, though! Some interesting points!

Ah! I checked the Heroes wiki and it clarified that he was buried in an unmarked grave "near the plots of Hiro's parents." I always thought it was in Kaito's grave itself, as I thought we saw Kaito's tombstone as the camera drew away, to the sounds of Adam screaming. Which might have been what I saw, and just drew a different conclusion.

In either case, it's very unlikely that he'd be in an empty coffin, unless Hiro made arrangements for an empty coffin to be buried there expressly for that purpose, or had previously researched extensively to find one. Which isn't impossible, when your power is time travel (part of why I hate time travel - it's like a God Mode). The thing is, for an unmarked grave, if they don't have a body, then why would they bury an empty casket? If you were honoring someone's memory, someone for whom you don't have a body, then you have a grave marker. Putting those two together (unmarked, empty casket) is bizarre enough that it would take a lot of research to find one.

Really great characteraztion of Adam. Was he soupossed to have stopped feeling pain after all those centuries? (he can't get muscle spasams). Who was Adam's wife soupossed to be? Claire is the only one who comes to my mind, but as far as I know they never actually met. Maybe Adam was crazy and spoke to Claire when she was a baby or somthing?

He can still feel pain, but I think even if he can move enough to get a cramp, his body would heal it before it became too noticeable. Except maybe for when he got himself in a ball, lol.

And according to the graphic novel, he had another wife on the outside. We never saw her on the show (I think they intended to introduce her but changed their minds) so your guess is as good as mine!

Thanks for the comment, though! I'd completely forgotten this fic and thought everyone else had, too, so it was especially lovely to see someone comment on it.
