thank god we only have show jumping competitions twice a year in our stable! it was a real mess out there today I tell you, and the rain, the never ending rain. brrr. but it was all good in the end. I luckily bought my rain coat with me so I didn't get too wet even though I had to stand in the arena all the time - you know, flagging the start and the finish. a really annoying job, but someone has to do it ;) the good thing about it is that you can see all the rides. the bad thing is that I almost got ride over - twice. we also had to help build and rearrange the jumps. and that's even more annoying of a job. god forbid that any of the male riders would lift a finger to help us!

when I watch dressage shows I always get the feeling that I would like to compete myself and go home and ride, but with jumping it's more like 'thank god that isn't me up there'. I mean it's kind of nerve-wrecking isn't it. I like to jump for fun, but competing in it with the turns and risks and speed and all (I know many people love it for the very same reasons, hehee). no thank you. I ended up just brushing patria and not riding at all - which means I have to go to the stable tomorrow and *I* will have no rest day, but I guess you have to take the last from summer and what better place to do it when in the stables! I also might get a lesson from marlen if I time it right which is always a wohoo :)

also - 3 people fell in the 120cm. and they were all visiting from Finland. one of them actually fell into the first jump - no vot see on tase :P but hey, happens!
