9 days in Bangkok

ugh, it looks like I will be here longer than I would like. It is going to take over a week to get my visa for India. I kinda wish I would have gotten it at home, because now I can't leave Bangkok since the India embassy will have my passport. While I do not mind Bangkok, it is a city that I can only take is doses. It is extremely difficult to navigate with the traffic and unplanned sprawl. It is kinda like being in Los Angeles without a car, except the smog is worse.

I am also extremely jet lagged. I was supposed to meet up with some couchsurfers last night. I meant to take a nap, and I did, except I did not want to get up from that nap and slept until 11pm and then went back to sleep. I am really going to have to load up on caffeine and avoid napping if I want to get over this. Damn 15hr time difference.

Well, I plan on making the most of my unexpected time in Bangkok. On the bright side, the food is absolutely amazing and cheap. Padthai from the street stalls is probably my fav and I love the fresh fruit and Thai iced coffees. Thailand is a foodies dream.
