Production Notes: So I just sort of took this prompt and ran with it. I started just doing some select scenes where their chemistry is really obvious, and I think I ended up pretty much using every single interaction they've ever had in Season 1. I couldn't help myself, though... Kat and Paul have such undeniable spark in their scenes that I had to include them all!
God, this pairing is like a ninja. It sneaks up on you, ganks you with cupid's arrow and then all of a sudden it's like Damon who? and you're making Stefan/Bonnie music vids on your laptop. Okay, that might just be my own personal dilemma, I'm not sure.
Anyway, sit back, relax, grab some popcorn, and scroll on down through this shipper's favorite Stefan/Bonnie moments.

So, they didn't actually have the chance to interact yet. But the eyesex is most definitely
there. See how Bonnie's eyes widen once she gets a full-frontal of the vampire? You can
totally tell she's going in her mind, "Oh, hello, sexy new guy." Yeah. Chemistry. You
heard it here first. I know this scene's point is mostly to showcase the potential for
Stefan/Elena, but was I the only who got the Stefan/Bonnie vibe as well? At least
one-sided on Bonnie's part? And I'm not just saying this as a shipper. I got that vibe
when I watched the season premiere, too. Huh. Maybe it was just my Spidey-senses
or something.
And the last panel? Dat ass. Hi there, Paul Wesley's rear. Phwoar.

Night of the Comet
So I'm totally pushing the finger!porn but those two holding hands would be supercute, amirite?
Caressing and butt-squeezing optional. Back on point, this is Bonnie and Stefan's first real
conversation together. This is the Stefan and Bonnie interaction I miss, the joking, smiling,
flirty kinship that comes effortlessly between the two. I sometimes wish I could take a big
eraser and scratch out the last five episodes or so. I don't like seeing Bonnie and Stefan
at odds with each other, it gives me wrinkles.
And I love the genuine concern Stefan expresses here when Bonnie recoils from his
touch. *smishes*

Friday Night Bites
This is one of my favorite Stefan/Bonnie scenes. It shows the two finally getting
comfortable around each other (particularly on Bonnie's end). I really appreciated that
Elena tried to get the two of them familiar with each other. The way Stefan handled the
fact that Bonnie has witch blood was the perfect way for her to trust him. Look at that
smile! It's like a switch goes off in Bonnie's head: maybe this guy isn't all that bad
after all.

This scene. So much, this scene. For the first time, Bonnie trusts Stefan, whether she
wants to or not. Another thing that makes these two compatible is that they have the
capacity to understand each others' fears: the fear of hurting the people they care
about with their abilities, the fear that they don't quite have control.
Plus, I'm just lovin' how Stefan's getting all handsy with Bonnie.

Again with ze hand!pr0n! *dies* We've seen Bonnie put her trust in Stefan, and now
we get to see that trust reciprocated when Stefan asks for Bonnie's help in finding
Elena's whereabouts. And Stefan senses a disturbance in the force when Bonnie
somehow can't get a grip on her mojo. So, he decides to help, leading to the epic scene
that follows.

OMG THISSCENETHISSCENETHISSCEEEENNNNEEEEEEE *flails*
Okay. This is where Stefan and Bonnie became Stefan/Bonnie in my little shipper mind.
Seriously. Stefan is so gentle with her. The tenderness that Paul emotes in this scene is
making me weak-kneed, and I haven't even watched this episode in months! I'm getting
aftershocks of this scene, like, five months later! Crazy.
I think that's one of the reasons I love this pairing so much. The fact that Stefan expresses
care for anyone other than Elena speaks volumes as to the kind of person he is. That's
why he's the "good guy" in this story. It's not because he's Damon's foil (or vice versa). It's
not because he doesn't kill people, and it's not because he's Elena's boyfriend and therefore
is amazing. It's his innate nature to show compassion for others, despite the fact that it
goes against his disposition as a vampire to do so. He shows that here, reaching out
to Bonnie when she thinks she's alone, proving to her that he won't hurt her and never
will, to assuage her fears. *waxes poetic*
Allow me to play a little mood music for you two crazy kids.

Stefan: Bonnie?
Bonnie: Yes, Stefan?
Stefan: I want your sex.

'Kay, so Bloodlines is officially one of my favorite episodes this season. I never
realized how much interaction Stefan and Bonnie get until I did this picspam. I think
I might rewatch when I'm done. Anywho, oh hai thar Grams! We miss you! Plz come
back! Slash this episode made me really curious as to what Stefan and Sheila's
backstory was. Am I wrong in hoping there was a little bit of bow-chicka-wow-wow
back in the day between the two? Don't give me that look. I ship Stefan with everyone.
So Stefan returns our bright-eyed lass back home to her elder's and we see a
rekindling of that good ol' friendship again. And yes, by "friendship," I mean
"I-wanna-sex-you-up-ship." It makes me so ridiculously happy that it's Stefan who
got Bonnie out of her funk. Not Elena, Caroline, Grams, or even Damon, which I
wouldn't have minded. But Stefan. Significance? Yes.

never be the same between the two of them. Dammit. But I'm loving Stefan's quizzical
expression here, he's like, "Oh, okay, princess. I see how it's gonna be. I'll deal with
you later. My place. Don't be late, and don't bother with the clothes." /nonchalance

Oh Stefan. Why, bb? You do look superfine all vamped out but the whole tryna kill
people thing ain't gonna fly. Look at how pissed off and disappointed Bonnie is.
This scene broke my heart a little. I was rooting for Stefan to kick the habit but I know
that the writers wanted to make Stefan seem ~flawed somehow and apparently this
was the best way to achieve that... by totally fucking up his good guy image. I liked the
selfless, sweet Stefan who drank Bambiña coladas and brooded silently, à la Cullen.
Apparently Bonnie thinks so, too, because she's trying really hard to explode his
head like a watermelon right now. Also, that look of betrayal on Stefan's face? Makes
me sad. Like, Van Der Beek sad.
In other news: Bonnie. Fierce. Fiercer. Fiercest. Fiercershist. Seriously, how badass
was she in this episode? I know that she's fast becoming "darker" now that her grams
is dead and she blames the vampires, but I'm still liking how she's slowly coming
into her own. And Stefan is directly responsible for that. Haters to the left, Bonnie's
boss and they just can't accept it.

Founder's Day
Look at Bonnie's expression! Fierce bitch all up in this. I feel bad for Stefan, though,
because it's basically back to square one for the two of them. Their trust is all but gone.
Bonnie's message is clear: she doesn't want to hurt Stefan, but she can and she
will if necessary. I'm glad that she gave him the warning: it shows that she remembers
what he's done for her, even if they are on the outs. It's a rocky relationship at best,
but the fact that Bonnie's giving Stefan fair warning to keep Damon on his leash shows
mutual respect, if nothing else. This last scene between the two of them is powerful,
leaving the state of the Stefan/Bonnie relationship strained and cautious... I can only
hope that with next season's turn of events they will learn that to work together will
protect the town and their loved once much better than to work independently.
