More Baby Goodness!

So, LONG ass story time, with the aforementioned pics at the end.

So we went to the hospital on the 3rd to be induced at 0930 ish, and the rollercoaster of hell began. Everything went smoothly until 4cm, when she started having strong contractions due to the constant flow of meds. But she pushed through it and got to 6cm in an hour, Yay! Gets her epidural... Whatever, and feels REALLY good. Over the course of the night, we see 7cm, and FINALLY in the wee hours of the morning 8cm. Then the Epidurals quit working. Completly. I mean, they'd put a refill in, and it would only give her about 15 minutes worth of relief. After much intense pain and a whole lotta screaming, we got to 10cm. Alisha started pushing at the nurse's request, because Jacob didn't want to move down to come out. So she pushed for a good 3 hours, and then FINALLY the doctors came in and informed us he wasn't shifting and a C-section was going to have to be done because during every push, his heartrate would drop below 90. So they prep her for the C-section, do the Spinal Block, and it didn't take, at all. So General Anesthisia (sp) gets a call and she's put under. Baby's delivered, has a HUGE conehead, and some thick fluid buildup in his lungs from spending 12 hours in the broken water, but overall healthy. Everything cleared up in a few hours, and even now his head has shrank to almost nothing.

Oh, and she loves breastfeeding him. YAY! That alone makes me so happy to hear. Even tho her boobs are ready to fall off from soreness. And since we've gotten home, he hasn't cried once, has slept all night, and is just generally content, all of which he was in the hospital too. Except he hated the bassinette thingy they use, it was just so hard. Like sleeping on a sheet of plywood. He's just such a good kid.
