Whew! I think I'm finally caught up on everything. It took forever and a day, but I'm finally caught up on fic, my comics and half-assed on my writing.
Now lemme sidestep for a moment here:
Dear Kevin Smith,
I've been a fan for a long time. I didn't complain when you felt you needed to make Jersey Girl. I didn't even call you on some of your other projects. Hell, I loved Clerks 2. I read your Cacophany and was pleased. I can even overlook Chasing Amy, which as a lesbian is somewhat hard to do.
This time, however, you HAVE GONE TOO FAR!!!
I will say this one time, Smith. One flipping time - BATMAN DOES NOT PEE HIS PANTS! I don't care if he just downed three jumbo drinks, a red bull and a bottle of water and then went and watched a five hour long History Channel Documentry on toilets...HE WOULD NOT NOR HAS HE EVER HAD A "Bladder Spasm"
Please put to bong down and step away from the Batman....forever. I will pick up the sixth issue of Widening Gyre because it's already in my pulls and I will pay the shop accordingly. I will not, however, read any other Batman comic you write...ever.
Cordially,
Every Batman fan EVAR.
Yeah, I think I might be a little agravated.
DC Fanfic Reads that cannot be missed!
Batman and Benson by McFergeson - A stunning and highly creative re-imagining of Gotham City. Starring Nolan's with a heavy dose of BTAS Batman and Law and Order SVU's Olivia Benson, this series is the perfect blend of the two genres. I do not have enough words to adequatly praise this series.
Anything Harley/Ivy by Allaine - Good Grief the man knows how to write the hottest women in Batman's Rogue Gallery. He's not as active, though I do reccomend his Femslash for Fans radio show.
Gotham Again by Sharon Bowers - There's only one chapter or issue as the segments are being referred to, but I am already in LOVE with this series. Sharon Bowers is a DC reader, and it shows. She knows her DC locations and charecters and is writing them VERY well. There's a Rucka influence that really makes me happy...I can't wait to read more!
