Whatnot
Okay, so my electronic devices that were drowned have made recoveries. My music restoration is an on-going adventure, but enough about that.
Comics:
Birds of Prey - It's not as good as I hoped it would be...it's better! Gail Simone's BoP is ridonculously great! I can't wait till issue 3 comes out! The Benes art just reaches up off of the page and smacks you and the charecters are so good...my God it's pure gold...every damn page of it.
Return of Bruce Wayne - A tricky, but incredibly enjoyable read. It's bogged down in continuality and you had to read Final Crisis and Batman RIP and um Red Robin and Black Glove and practically every other pre Crisis Batman to get it, but the art is amazing.
Secret Six - Wow. Just Wow. Gail, will you marry me?
Streets of Gotham - Phenomenal stuff
JSA All Stars - The art is breathtaking...but the story is lagging a bit...and the backup stuff with Liberty Belle and Hourman? Mega Yawn.I'm giving it one more issue before I drop it.
Titans - I've never read Titans...ever. I did, however, pick up a Brightest Day oneshot of Titans: Villans for Hire because it looked very interesting. It was a good solid read filled with some charecters I knew (Chesire and Osiris) and some I was less familar with but interested in (Slade and Tattoo Man) This will replace JSA unless the All Stars do something awesome next issue.
Batgirl - Still kicking ass and taking names. No complaint here, sirs!
Detective Comics - Admitadly I only started picking up Detective for BATWOMAN and now that her run is over I am somewhat less enthused (The Question backup has also ended and I miss that SO MUCH) The book remains very good, though. I do love Dick Grayson as Batman.
Batman Confidental: Black Hawk Down Story Arc - I picked up this entire arc in a discount bin. It's old, but along with Bruce Wayne Batman it has Zinda Blake in it. Great awesome splendiforous read.
Wonder Woman 44 - The LAST Gail Simone issue and the last in the current numbering scheme. Next issue is an Aniversary sized Giant and it will be numbered 600. I am glad that the numbering will FINALLY reflect Wonder Woman's rich history in the DCU (as Batman and Supermans does) however I am sad, freaking heartbroken, that Gail is leaving Diana. This woman even redeemed Amazons Attack, which many thought was impossible.
First Wave - A loud and resounding MEH. I was picking it up in singles to see if I liked it...I do not. If the shop still has it on my pulls I will be removing it.
DC Legacies - It's a re-tooled history, which DC needs after the umpteen freaking thousand crises and reboots. It is informative and GOOD. I like the throwback art style and the approach they're taking.
Movies:
Toy Story 3 - Its a B+ or A-...3D is a fun addition. Yes I totally snuck Twizzlers in...what of it?!
Next up on the list: Jonah Hex, Scott Pilgrim vs The World, and The Last Airbender
Books:
Well, Dean Koontz, I see you've written another Frankenstien book. The first one was GREAT the second one was GREAT, the third one was great until THE ENDING! You totally pulled a Crystal Skull on me. I waited for two years and you gave me a giant monster for fucks sake. Now you taunt me with another instalment. I want it to be good. I want it to be good so bad. BUT I WILL NOT BUY IT IN HARDBACK YOU DOUCHE! That would be like getting the Blu Ray special edition directors cut of Crystal Skull. It isn't going to happen, buddy. You must earn your way back into my good graces...I will wait for the paperback and we will see IF you have redeemed yourself.
Sizziling Sixteeen: A Stephanie Plum novel - Yes, now these I DO buy in hardback as soon as I can. Usually within the first week of release...I like them THAT much. I've not finised it as of yet, but I can already tell that it's AWESOME!

I missed the new episode of Futurama cause I had to work. Ugh.
Writing:
Coming along. Prologue of my Alice fic pleases me.

Aliske's X-Men/Criminal Minds fics which showcase the total wtf omg its so good! pairing of Emma Frost/Emily Prentiss continues to blow me away.
I'm also reading wkgreen's TSCC Time Loop series as it's awesome.
CaliopseMuse and Geekgrrl's Hidden Treasure (A Guiding Light AU with PIRATES) is also on top of my reading list.
I bought a CD last night...unusual for me...Lady Gaga gives me enough auditory enjoyment that I actually paid money for her music...this time.
I am going to wander up Knoxville way and go to McKays. I'm supposed to be cleaning...but I have a craving to book-look and I kind of want some fried chicken...so KFC then McKays.
