Birds of Prey, Return of Bruce Wayne, Iron Man 2 and more!

IT'S WONDERFUL! RIDONCULOUSLY GREAT!
Gail Simone does it again! It's like I can almost forget the Platinum Flats crap. I'm gonna miss her on Wonder Woman but God I am so glad to have my Birds back. Yes, I followed Dinah through her chair-person-ship of the JLA and I've followed Huntress half-way across the DCU (Seriously, she's everywhere!) and though I haven't yet found it Zinda was in Batman Confidential. I would like to point out that these wonderful ladies were not used half as much and nowhere near as well until AFTER Simone's run on Birds. Oracle, also in Batgirl which I love, is back where she belongs!
Seriously, it was everything I wanted in a comic and it was beutifully drawn.
Happy days are here again!
Moving on to another long awaited read - The Return of Bruce Wayne. Don't get me wrong, Dick Grayson is doing a fine job as Batman, but Bruce was, is and will always be my Batman. The writing was understated and the dialouge was limited but for the subject matter and point of the comic it was perfect. The art was bold and unique and it fit the story. Superman said it best: He [Batman] can survive any time and anywhere. Surviving is what he does. All righty, Morrison, let's GO!
I also went to see Iron Man 2 today. It gets to thumbs way the hell up. Great casting, a solid script and while there were plenty of special effects the acting was not sacraficed...like in some other movies (Clash of the Titans Remake MUCH?!) Robert Downy Jr and Micky Rourke really made the movie. Scarlett Johanson and Gwen Paltrow didn't hurt either. So far this is my fave movie of the summer! (Burton's Alice is still winning for the year)
The more?
Well right now I'm a tiny bit squicked out by these wierd ass texts and calls I've been getting lately. I rarely give my phone number out to anyone. Everyone in the universe has my email, but my digits are definitly harder to obtain...or so I thought. I'm not overly worried about it, but it's wierd and annoying.
Also I realized that I am quite possibly the palest non-albino and or vampire person in the damn world. I mean I knew I was pale but a lil bit of time mowing my small yard (It would be a walk in the park if not for the fact that over 50% of it is a hill) turned me red! I have to finish this stuff, including weed eating, tommorow so I am hoping to get it done early. I also have to go shopping. Ugh I hate shopping so hardcore. Discount and sundry stores here I come. I'm also hitting UGO (cheap eats) cause I'm poor as hell.
Furthermore, my house is infested with floor kittens. Kittens are living under my kitchen floor. My roomate thinks they're feral (they're not) and I think they're cute. We both want them out. Now don't get all grr on me, I love ze kitties. I already have two full grown cats (You remember SpoiledPrincess77 and ipoopinabox) to deal with (both female and spayed)
Is that everything?
Hmm...well Brian went on a semi-date (so freakin adorable) and he seemed to really like the guy. Best of luck to him! I'm back to being single again (I'm simply too freaking awesome to be contained in a monogomous relationship for too long...apparently...and my dedicated and unwavering LOVE for Batwoman and WORSHIP of Gail Simone is not only an issue it is off-putting. Also18 hours of CSI is not romantic...especially when I spend the entire time pointing out every nuance of the Sara-Catherine dynamic. Lol, okay so none of that actually came up...but let be honest if I'd kept going with her it totally would have) and am probably going to stay that way for awhile becuase I'm frankly over female shenanigans for the moment. Besides I haven't been writing lately and I think I'd like to devote the summer to a story...cause I'm a gigantic nerd. So I'm thinking I'd like to work on Mistaken Identity...cause I loves it.
I will get started on that...right after I reread Birds of Prey....again!
