So, after checking up on a few things on the SNK Wiki (that thing is a godsend) and talking with a friend of mine that was thinking of trying Geese alongside my Rock during a writing tournament at one point, I think I've finally fully figured out this long-running/overlaying plot with Rock. I've always had a vague idea, but it wasn't until Dry gave me the old log we had discussing it and I talked with him that things finally began to fall into place.

First off, a bit on how we came up with this in the first place.

(Because there is no way in hell I could've come up with this by myself, so putting this out here now - Dry, you are a fucking lifesaver.)

In Fatal Fury canon, there was a tournament at one point to gain possession of an artifact called the Jin Scrolls. These scrolls were said to contain the secret to immortality, and were guarded by the same family that they were named after. As per usual, participants in the tournament included Terry and Andy Bogard, Mai Shiranui, Joe Higashi, Geese Howard, and his subordinates [I think it was Yamazaki, Billy, and Raiden at that point, but don't quote me], among other people.

Timeline-wise, this was about 10 years before Garou, so that would place Rock to be about 6-7 years old at the time. In headcanon, I have it that Rock was living at the Tower because he thought that Geese would possibly do something to help Marie, since she had just recently fallen ill.

Anyway, some how, some way, Geese actually got a hold of the scrolls, and after reading them, proceeded to destroy them in order to prevent anyone else from gaining the same secret that he did. It's been speculated that in order to remain “immortal”, members of the Jin clan possessed their descendants, therefore creating an “immortal bloodline”.

Now here we get to the part that makes Light Yagami look like a kindergartener. Once he found out this little tidbit of information, he began to plan the way he would be able to pull this off - obviously Rock was integral to the plan. And if there's one thing that Geese Howard is, it's a power-hungry bastard. Now, to get this, I have to rewind a bit more, back to when Geese and Jeff Bogard [Terry and Andy's father] were training together under the same master. Tung Fu Rue deemed Geese unworthy of learning the principles of hakkyokuseiken, instead teaching it to Jeff. Jealous and furious, this fuels the reason as to why Geese kills Jeff, which incites Terry and Andy to train like they did in order to defeat him (which is the main story of the first Fatal Fury game - Terry comes back to Southtown after training alongside his brother and friends to fight Geese and defeat him once and for all).

Tung eventually taught Terry the very thing that Geese was after - the full mastery of the art, and after finding out, Geese redoubled his efforts to defeat Terry, though he knew that as long as he was alive, he couldn't get his hands on the very thing that he wanted. But after remembering what the Jin Scrolls said about immortality, he devised a plan. He was counting on Rock to be at the tower when he and Terry had their final bout atop the Tower (Real Bout Fatal Fury), which he did end up doing.

During the fight, Terry blasted Geese out of the Tower with a Burn Knuckle, to which Geese was about to fall off the tower and to his inevitable death. However, at the last second, Terry grabbed his hand, wanting to save him. Just before Geese began to fall, he noticed Rock watching from a safe vantage point, and because of that... he let go.

He knew that Terry would be guilty after discovering Rock there, thinking that he would equate himself with Geese for killing his father in front of him and would try to take in Rock to atone. Couple that and the fact that Rock already was already furious with his father over abandoning him and his mother, and we've got a pretty good recipe for disaster here.

From what it seems, though Geese probably trained Rock a bit in his fighting style, it was Terry that finished the training, even showing the young Rock how to use hakkyokuseiken, which, if you think about it, with the way the Jin Scrolls worked, was exactly what Geese wanted - a body that knew the very martial art that he was originally denied.

So. Yeah. :| Have I ever mentioned that Rock's dad is a goddamn prick?

Now to the part that actually, y'know, means something to you guys as Rock's friends/bystanders. With Rock looking for the original scrolls that Geese had used, he knows that time's running out for him. His nightmares have become more frequent, and those fits he's had sometimes? They're getting worse.

Considering that Geese destroyed the scrolls shortly after reading them, there is no way that Rock is actually going to get a hold of them in order to try and find a way to stop this from happening. HOWEVER. That doesn't mean there aren't other ways, and dammit, he's going to keep fighting until the end.

But before that will happen, unfortunately, Geese will ultimately possess him, if only for a short period of time. And during that time, Rock will be fighting through his own maze of nightmares in order to reach him - think like how he was during the Shuyin plot and that's pretty much how this is going to go for the first part.

Meanwhile, Geese isn't going to just sit idly by while his son fights through his own mind to kick his as, oh no. He's going to be testing out Rock's full potential, and once he finds out that Rock still has the worldhop feather (LYLITH CORRECT ME IF AOKO ENDED UP TAKING IT BACK AT ANY POINT, I CAN'T REMEMBER IF SHE DID OR NOT. D8) and will probably be going around and fucking shit up in the name of gaining power. :|

What I need from you guys are two things: one, people that are willing to fight against Geese-possessing-Rock when the time comes, and two, people that can somehow either exorcise or just plain eliminate Geese's spirit once his concentration is broken. The reason why I ask for this is because toward the end of it, those that were chasing him will catch up with him, and Rock will finally reach where Papa Geese is in his mind, and promptly will kick his ass for messing with other people, especially his friends.

After Rock kicks Geese out, that's where I'll need the latter people - to get rid of him once and for all.

So...yeah. 8D; That's about it. Questions, comments, things like that? I'd be happy to go over things if you need to, I know this is kinda a lot to take in at once. And I apologize for spam, I just finally got the time to sit down and write all this out. ;A;

you think your family has problems, !ooc, my daddy issues- let me show you them, !plotting
