alright. so. I haven't blogged in a long while. . . I wish I could say I've been off doing amazing things and was too busy saving children in third world countries to blog, but sadly that's not the case.
I also wish I could say I've been to busy knitting amazing projects to have any time to blog. . but that's not the case either.
knitting and I kinda had a falling out over the summer. I spun a lot, I bought some lovely yarn heck I even bought some not so lovely yarn.
But I barely picked up my needles to swatch a new stitch or try to knit a reusable grocerie bag.
then a few days ago the the tree's started turning, leaves started falling to the ground and a cold breeze sneaks into my windows after dark. and my needles are full of projects again and the idea of blogging returned to me. why this is, I really don't know. but it's good to be back.
and that's all I have to say about that I guess. . . .
In much more exciting news I got a spinning wheel!!!!!!!!
It's an Ashford Traveller double treadle and I am in complete and total love with it!!!!!!! and may or may have not spun up a yarn or two with it already. . . . . . . .pictures of it coming soon. . but until then a few of the yarns I've spun on it so far.
a bulky to super bulky weight wool yarn about 30 yards
/>
and another one a brown wool super bulky again with about 75 yards
and last but not least a wool/mohair blend sport to worsted with a few bulky spots with about 21 yards
other than that I've been knitting a grocerie bag with a super easy pattern found
here
It's just some old redheart I had in my stash but I figured this would put it to good use and the colors are really look much better in person.
