Trying to get back in the habit...
I'm still trying to get back into the habit of participating in online fandoms. I could blame it on no longer being a student - in fact, I spend a lot of time not just at work but actively looking for my employment for next year since my current lectureship is up in May - but it's more than that. I'm simply metaphorically out of shape. I used to write stories, I even posted some, particularly to ff.net back in the day, but now I re-read everything and think it's crap so I never post. I've gotten to the point I don't want to post on ff.net (for a variety of reasons, usually that my stories are a bit...colorful at points) but getting into new fandoms - especially ones that are merely new to me but are very well-established otherwise - is hard on livejournal. Time to stop making excuses though, and just find some comms to join and throw myself into, I think.
Maybe I'll even be able to talk myself into posting some of the drivel I write.
