well im here in der schweiz! first of all you have to excuse the lack of apostrophes because this keyboard has them elsewhere and i dont know which key i need to get them. frankly, i am too lazy.
so my flight wasnt at all bad. at first i sat down in the plane and a whole team of rowdy australian girls basketball team sat down around me, kicking and chortling and so. their coach came to me and asked if i would mind switching. i graciously said yes.
by the way, i realize that my english may not very good, but right now, sitting down to write this to you all, im having a super hard time keeping the german out of the sentences. if some does slip by my radar, use babel fish or ignore me like you guys usually do. sniff.
on sunday i went with my host sister and brother to see another host brother play unihockey. i was under the impression that there were roller blades involved and was kinda excited about it. unihockey involves sneakers. still, it was fun to watch and didnt involve me having to be social too much (the jet lag was on me a bit)
on monday i headed out to austria to visit my host brother who lived with us in california for a year. hes a professional snowboarder but luckily for me (and bad for him) he broke his wrist and therefore cant compete. I had an awesome time with his family and with him. we went sledding down the street at night (they live on a hill) which was sooooo cool. you could see all the snow sparkling in the moonlight and the stars were mega schön. the next day (tues) we went cross country skiing which was new experience for me. it was pretty nice though the muscles are arguing with me about that opinion today. we then went to linz with his girlfriend and walked around this gigantic mall (gigantic in europe sizes, it was about half the size of santa anita). i really like his girlfriend, she is ganz cool and really fun to hang out with.
that brings me to wednesday, today. all ive done today is take the 7 hour train ride back home. we had raclette tonight which is basically melted cheese on potatoes so im soooo stuffed right now. Am planning to just hang out with the family and perhaps watch a bit of 'pop star' which is the swiss version of american idol, only about 80 times worse. the swiss are not known for their singing. no, no they are not. hope everyone is having a awesome time and is as relaxed as i am!
